Ansty Hall

We stayed at Ansty Hall while attending a friends wedding. Staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable.

Definitely wanna stay again before it gets sold. Amazing hotel and even more amazing staff.

Excellent hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Good coffee and water in the rooms and an excellent restaurant. Great value on the rooms rate too.

Lovely building, friendly staff - good proce

I’m still here at Ansty Hall with my husband and baby, we check out tomorrow. Just wanted to write this review to say we are having a lovely time. The hotel is clean and has modern amenities but at the same time keeping in with the character of the building. We were upgraded and the room is spacious with water replaced daily. Fresh milk is provided with a selection of teas and coffee. One thing to mention is the food, it’s delicious. From the breakfast to the mains in the restaurant, it is of high quality. Only minor thing the portion sizes could be abit bigger. We came for my birthday and the restaurant had a lovely surprise to wish me happy birthday. Thank you. It’s the small details that make this place a lovely place to stay. We haven’t explored the grounds which we will do tomorrow. But I would definitely recommend Ansty Hall.

Quietness

First off, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very good and the breakfast (when it came) was delicious. But…. They’re not that great at handling groups. We were a family of 14, there were about 6 other people in the bar area at the time. We waited longer than you’d expect for our drinks (including having to wait 90 minutes for a tea and coffee!). I don’t know how far away the kitchen is but the food all came out like warm and don’t get me started on the rather anaemic looking triple chips When we complained, the manager rather antagonistically responded “well I’ve checked with my colleagues on shift and I’ve been informed that you’ve all eaten the majority of the food” - yes, because we were hungry, we needed to feed the children before bedtime and there was no one around to complain to! I’d rung up before the event to ask if we could have a table for dinner and was told because there was so many of us, we’d have to pay an additional £375 for a room hire charge on top of our food costs / ridiculous! I’ve never encountered this before! The staff on shift appeared really underskilled and there wasn’t enough of them in general to man the place. It’s such a shame as the place is stunning.
