Stay away at all costs I had a confirmed reservation. I was fully charged before my arrival. when I was about to check out, the hotel manager demanded full payment again. I showed him my reservation and the charge on my credit card but he claimed that their hotel does not have any affiliation with *********, *********** or Agoda. I called *********** and a representative sent the receipt to the hotel but the hotel manager insisted that he must charge my credit card for the full payment again. The representative from booking.con tried repeatedly to call the Hotel but the front desk did not respond their phone and they were saying their phone was out of order. so they double charged me and did not talk to the representative from ***********. This hotel is running a scam stay away from them at all costs.

This is a 3 star hotel but it does that to a really good standard. The staff in particular were incredibly friendly, working hard to give us a great stay. The views of lake Kivu from our cabins and the little beach were lovely. Gorgeous birdlife too. Both dinner and breakfast were nice (the kids particularly enjoyed the pancakes). A very relaxing and refreshing stay.

What a beautiful venue to spend a few days! The view of the lake and surrounding nature, endless birdsong, the hosts' warm welcome and attention to detail all make this a most comfortable base from which to explore the area further. There is also a gorgeous little island you can reach by boat...

This is a lovely lodge along the shores of Lake Kivu. If you're looking for nightlife then you should go somewhere closer to Gisenyi. But if you seek a place to relax with delicious fish on the menu from Lake Kivu, a private beach, and a fire in the lodge in the evening to take the chill off, then this is the place. The staff were wonderful. Try the cheese nan which is luscious.

What a great place to relax! Great views of the lake and I can’t even count how many different birds came to our room/the balcony while we were having a beer and looking out onto the lake. Really good place to stay and even can set off on a boat trip from in front of the hotel.

Après avoir regardé commentaires sur le net nous avons décidé de réserver cet hôtel par un site de réservation. Avis positif sur la belle salle ou il y a la réception et le restaurant , tout en bois avec belle vue sur le lac . Chambres très bien décorées avec tissu africain et terrasse agréable . Literie bonne . Dîner excellent avec poisson du lac grillé et petits alevins a l’apéritif les Sambavas offerts par la maison. Excursion en bateau très bien . Personnel en dehors du gérant très gentil et souriant . Attention petits lits ne font que 1,8 m de long donc pas adaptés aux ados . Avis négatif : le gérant nous a fait payer plus cher que ce que nous avions réservé avec le site car soi disant la réservation qu ‘il avait reçue ne correspondait pas à celle que nous avions effectuée . Impossible de trouver un accord avec lui . Vue sur l’usine d’extraction de méthane moche , bruit de moteur le matin d’une plateforme mobile ,oiseaux très bruyants et bruit de la route du dessus en fond sonore le matin . Donc rapport qualité prix pas terrible . Dommage car le bâtiment de l’hôtel et les repas sont très beaux et bons . Petit déjeuné très moyen : tout était froid ( œufs pain grillé …) seul le jus de fruits pressés était très bon .

I reserved three rooms at this hotel on ********** for an upcoming trip in April. I was excited to stay, as the pictures looked beautiful. After booking the third room, however, the hotel staff reached out saying I needed to pay $56 more in order to keep the reservation, as they were in the process of changing their rates when I booked the third room. I checked back on **********, and the rates were actually LESS expensive than when I booked. When I asked them why this was, I got a message from ********** saying that all three reservations were canceled at my request. So be wary booking at this hotel.
