Le Mas Barossa

So thoughtfully conceived and beautifully delivered. The stay and hospitality and tips were spot on. We also had “The Chef’s Dinner” on one night of our stay. The menu was adapted because I am vegetarian. It is no exaggeration to say it is the best meal I can remember having. As someone who never returns to a location it might be impossible for me not to experience Le Mas a second time. Thank you Geraldine and Marie!

Wow oh wow! Where to begin?! Le Mas in the Barossa is a gem that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its charming ambiance and the stunning scenery surrounding the property. The lush vineyards provided the ideal backdrop for a weekend of wine tastings! The highlight of our stay, however, was the incredibly warm and friendly hosts, Geraldine and Llewelyn. Their genuine hospitality and conversations made us feel like we were staying with family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable, offering personalised touches and recommendations that truly made a difference. The suite we stayed in was super luxe yet cosy and tastefully decorated, blending old French charm with modern comforts. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, reflecting the care and passion the hosts have for their guests. Do yourself a favour - book the trip and order a Le Mas gin and tonic with cumquats from the garden for a totally refreshing start to your stay.

One of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in. The owner Geraldine, is the ultimate hostess who made us feel so at home and helped us plan our winery tours. Everything about Le Mas is first class from the beautiful french-inspired decor to the stunning views of the extensive garden, private pool and vineyards. We can't wait to return with more of our friends in tow.

Geraldine was a lovely gracious host! This was a slice of province heaven but with Galas, eucalyptus trees, amid giant palms in the heart of the Barossa valley. It was sublime to just hang out, play pétanque, enjoy the Grenache and delight in the stunning decor - everywhere you looked was a stunning photo. The grounds are so spectacular and the interiors are gorgeous. We loved our time at Le Mas and highly recommend - perfect for 2-3 day or a weekend getaway!

Our stay at Le Mas was exceptional. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a beautiful property and lovely service. The e-bike ride into town was a great activity and swimming in the heated pool was really enjoyable. I was unable to have the seafood risotto due to the chef being sick, however recommendations for local restaurants from the host definitely did not disappoint! My quite complex dietary requirements were also accommodated for which was amazing. We will for sure be back in the future.

We have now stayed at Le Mas three times and every time has been equally amazing. The rooms are beautiful, the food and wine is delicious and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. We have stayed at many lovely hotels interstate and overseas, none have been quite as lovely as Le Mas. Thank you Geraldine and Marie-France, your vision and commitment has made Le Mas a little piece of heaven in the Barossa.

If you're searching for something special in the Barossa then look no further then Le Mas. Beautifully appointed rooms, luxury amenities and just the right amount of French ambience and Provincial style in a truly memorable setting. There is no doubt about the charm and elegance of Le Mas, this is evident as you drive through the gates to find a gorgeous farmhouse complete with potager, private vineyard and swimming pool. Inside you're greeted warmly by Geraldine who guides you through your options for drinks, dinner and local restaurants and wineries. A welcome drink in the Orangerie and you are set for a weekend of indulgence. The room is elegant, inviting and complete with everything you need and the bathroom with heated floors and deep soaking tub is incredibly inviting. If this was all Le Mas offered I would've been very content, but it is so much more. Traditional French fare served in The Orangerie; authentic, delicious and made with love. Generous breakfasts including home made omelettes and warm croissants, and personal touches like specialty chocolates and mineral water by the bed in the evening. Le Mas is divine and what makes it even more special is Marie-France; Geraldine's mother and restaurant cook. She greets you with warmth and interest, she loves her food, her family and her two homes; France & Australia and she makes you love her. What a treat.

Le May absolutely deserve the high plaudits that they have received on TripAdvisor. My Husband and I stayed for 4 nights recently celebrating my birthday and our Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we booked our stay, Geraldine was keen to ensure that our experience with Le Mas and the Barossa Valley. We were greeted by Geraldine and Connie with a very pleasant G&T (gin made at the premises). Geraldine went through an itinerary that she thought we might be interested in. She had kindly booked not 1 but 2 restaurants for the first night (depending on our choice). Her recommendations for Cellar Doors, restaurants and sights were spot on. Our room was utterly heavenly. Large, clean, airy. Beautiful bedding and bed linen. The bathroom was the size of Brazil, clean and bright with the whitest and fluffiest towels. Breakfast was an array of croissants, breads, jams, muesli, coffee/tea. All served be divine Marie-France (Geraldines Mum). She was an absolute joy to meet and chat too. Highly, highly recommend Le Mas. Such a wonderful experience and such a wonderful part of Australia.

It’s hard to sum up exactly the right words to describe Le Mas as well as hosts Geraldine and Marie-France. A singular exemplary experience bathed in tasteful old world French charm across experiences might be my rather esoteric attempt. In short, it was the most magnificent stay and relaxing break. From the decor and classic opulence of the French styling to the magnificent food and drink offered, it was time we will not easily forget. The grounds are stunning too. From the rabbits as you drive in to the magical glade at the rear of the property. Our hosts were so affable; we enjoyed so much conversation and story sharing. We couldn’t recommend Le Mas more highly. Coupling the excitement of food and wine in the Barossa with the majesty of Le Mas is the way to enhance any break. Merci!
