"This family run business on the outskirts of Rovinj was a delight. The owners and the lovely Gabi and Melita made us feel so welcome and were very kind and helpful. The entire villa inside and out was key exceptionally clean. Lovely little pool was perfect for cooling down after a day out. The studio was perfect and had everything we needed. It is quite a long walk in and out of town but we used the bikes or walked down and jumped in a taxi or Uber back. The local beach is fabulous, has some lovely little bars and lovely outlook. We cycled along to villa Rubin’s to watch footy on the beach and they served great cocktails. The cycle rise through the forest to the Monte was lovely, mainly shaded. Definitely keep your the beaches nearer to the accommodation as the sun beds are better value. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it and would highly recommend Villa Marea, we will be back ! Thank you so much for a lovely stay. A & R xx"

"Fantastic experience at Boutique Arion within walking distance of Old Town. Highly recommend the Penthouse amenities fully-equipped kitchen, large fridge, oven/stove, stunning balcony views of the sunset with a glass of wine in the private Jacuzzi hot tub. So loved watching the boats going in and out of the harbor. We cooked in a couple of nights with fresh bread from the bakery "Pekara dan i noc" and the little supermarket "Konzum" across the street which more than offset the cost of 2 rooms with dinner out. If your group is larger the balcony and kitchen could comfortably host 10+. The private car park at residence was also nice for daytrips. Good breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a wonderful staff "

"Left after a week feeling hugely disappointed for a number of reasons below: Staff - Some lovely staff but largely I found the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. The man who runs the pool gift shop, is just downright rude. Accommodation - We stayed in the superior Family with Sea views. But be aware, you may not end up with this when booking a superior family home, most actually are set back from sea and hidden in trees, marketing for these homes is misleading that all will have sea views. Internal space is tiny in living areas, luckily the terrace is substantial to spill out on . Facilities in mobile - Very poor, in other up market campsites we have had Nespresso machine to have a nice coffee, you only get a drip coffee maker in mobile. The biggest issue however was there was no bbq or plancha outside for cooking. I have never seen this in all my years touring campsites in Europe. I think in part to try to force people not to cook in their accommodation and use over priced restaurants Pool area - Very chaotic, either no life guard at all or when there was ONE, he sat 30 yards away from pool at back sitting area with no real view of pool. He was largely on his phone so didn't seem to care much at all. on 1st of July they brought in a policy that you must pay for your sun loungers by the pool! I had payed EUR 2,500 to stay in a nice campsite with good facilities, and now was being told that I had to pay an additional cost of EUR8 per bed to look after my children by the pool. I complained dto reception and was told it was because it was getting too busy. The reason it was too busy is there was no monitoring of who was using the facility, you were supposed to be gaining entry to poll area by using and electronic bracelet to get through security gates. The security gates either did not work or were removed completely, so I saw 60/70% of people in pool without bands. But campsite would not care as long as people are there spending money in bar and restaurants. Restaurants - Extremely expensive - no kids menu at all - EUR 5 for soft drinks, main courses generally EUR26 Evening Entertainment - We were there during Euros football, so that was prioritsed on screen. Nights where there was entertainment, it was very quiet and poorly attended again because people didn't want to pay expensive prices for a drink. Super market - Only open limited hours, closed at 2-3pm . Again seemed to be sest up to force people to eat in restaurants, and drink in bars. Why else would a supermarket be closed during peak dining hours?! A couple of positives - Campsite is in beautiful setting, beaches and landscaping are very well maintained. Kids games room is excellent - new PS5's and Nintendo switches to play on. But be warned kids need to share there console with others in same accommodation, even when it is quiet and 60% of consoles are free. Will not be returning. Urge others to look elsewhere! or do what it seemed a lot of others do, go to a cheaper"

"The hotel is situated in a quiet area a little way out of the centre. We walked everywhere and found a short route into the old town. (We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues. The staff were exceptional in all ways. The room was spacious and clean with a kettle and some flavoured teas a coffee machine but no coffee. However the owner did go out and purchase some cappuccino sachets. We were greeted on arrival with a drink of our choice and some home baked pastries, which were gratefully received. Breakfast was outstanding with a varied choice to suit every taste. The owner Christian was extremely friendly and helpful."

"After 2015 we returned to Villa Rubin for the summer holidays in August 2023. Week from 13 to 20 Reservation made directly by calling the property. We immediately had the opportunity to see the professionalism of the operator; We had some specific requests and they definitely accommodated us. Check in carried out online in order to reduce waiting times at reception; within 10 minutes we received the necessary information and keys for our apartment with private garden. The entire complex is decidedly vast, nevertheless the care of the green area and the daily cleaning of the common areas is immediately evident. We took advantage of the half board formula with breakfast and dinner served as a buffet. The choices, in both situations, really range for every palate, also paying attention to gluten free, vegetarian and vegan foods. During dinner drinks are paid separately, you have the possibility to pay for them in cash, via electronic cards or choose to have them charged to the room. Special thanks go to Sandra who on August 19th was present at the reception of the restaurant area and helped me kindly wished you a happy birthday. Dragan, the person in charge of ordering drinks, was really professional and also wished me the best on my birthday. The room staff, again on the occasion of my birthday, when I returned from the day on the beach, made me find a bottle of rosé with 2 flutes for my wife and me. These little surprises pleasantly impressed us and are synonymous with the professionalism and kindness of ALL THE STAFF."

Even with the many dinner options, they happily prepared freshly cooked vegetables just the way we wanted. Every interaction felt personal and sincere. The food is another highlight — a huge variety for both breakfast and dinner, and everything we tried (which was almost everything after two weeks!) was delicious and fresh. The island itself is a dream: peaceful and car-free, perfect for relaxing walks and quiet evenings. The short boat ride to the city makes it easy to explore when you want more activity. The views of the old town from our room were simply breathtaking — waking up to that scene each morning was pure joy. There’s a large beach with bars and easy sea access for kids, and plenty of smaller, more private rocky spots where you can enjoy the sea in peace. We loved every moment of our stay and are already planning to return many times. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a mix of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality."

"Comfortable boutique hotel on the outskirts of Rovinj. Beach close by, but a fair distance to the centre of town. As you really need a car to get here in the first place, then a car into town seems easiest. Modern design, with nice touches. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Nice pool area.
