The Haven

We stayed here over the bank holiday in August 2024. I visited with my family to attend my cousin's wedding nearby. It was a lovely experience. The rooms were extremely comfortable, quiet and tidy. The beds were made everyday whilst we were out. Each day the breakfast was delicious. I actually had a birthday whilst I was there and Roz (hotel manager) made me a cake, which was delectable. Thank you to Roz and Iain for your hard work, nothing was ever too much trouble and you were so hospitable, we all really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We only stayed 2 nights, wish it had been longer! Ian was very welcoming and advised us where to eat. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Location was really quiet, yet within easy reach of Rothbury on foot. There were good views over the town. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, all freshly cooked.

Stayed this weekend to visit my partner who was working in the area Such a lovely hotel, the rooms are clean, bed are comfy. The area is convenient, its all within driving distance to the hadrians wall spots/museums or there are some lovely walks right on the door step, and it's lovely and quiet. The breakfast is great (even veggie options!), the guy who runs it was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.Will definitely be staying again and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice countryside getaway

I spent a couple of nights here last weekend with my mum for a short photography trip. The B&B is fantastic, the twin room that we shared was spacious, bright and airy with a west facing window. The room was clean and comfortable and a lovely clean bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were available as well as chocolate and biscuits on our arrival. Breakfast was first class with a great choice of both hot and cold food. I very much enjoyed the home made muesli and the crab omelette. I loved the idea of fresh tea/coffee supplies left out on the landing meaning we could help ourselves to extra milk without having to ask. I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this welcoming guest house. Our host Ian was always friendly and helpful. Our super king bed was v comfortable and our room was spacious with excellent en-suite. Lovely views over the valley too. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of hot dishes.
