raine Worst experience of staying in Rome at this hotel. We had done the booking for our stay for 2 adults and a kid of 8yo through ***********. it accepted our booking and when we reached the hotel in midnight the staff refused to allot the room for 3 persons. She said- we cannot allow. We requested for q room change or put a mattress or extra bed in the room so that atleast we pass the night but the lady didn't buzz at all. She told either you stay with your child and your husband finds another hotel at 12 in night..or else you fetch another hotel, your husband stays with the child, or you both stay here and the child stays somewhere else alone...I am like.. seriously!! Well we then reached out to *********** and asked them to clarify as the description of the room clearly mentioned that 2+1 can accomodate. It seemed like there was clear disagreement between the hotel and the *********** and we paid the price! Till 3 am we checked with 70-80 hotels for accommodation but nothing worked out. Also let me tell you that this property is no less in terms of charging money for the room. The rates were on higher side only. At last I had to raise my voice and talk to the lady staff that can you be human first! She said - I am allowing your husband to stay in the lobby area for tonight. That's all I can do. On top of this, somehow they managed to get us a new room with bigger bed for the last day of our stay. For which we paid extra money. Here, my issue is if you as a hotel offer your service to people, you better train your staff to be courteous and not rude. If you own a hotel you owe your responsibility to the travellers who pay for your hotel. If you think your room can accomodate a limited number of people then mention it clearly. Don't give false picture and don't sell false commitments. Remember, it's because of the people booking your hotel, you exist and not because you own a building. If *********** is at fault, then you should have been humane enough to sort it with *********** and not let us go through this worst experience. I have already filed a complaint against the property with ***********. If I had an option to rate below 0 I would have done that.
