近幾年住過不少國家和地方的酒店，Ocean Edge Resort是一個很大的驚喜。Ocean Edge Resort在Carabao島上，在島的西北方向，依着海邊和懸崖而建，靜謐，優美。 Carabao島，從caticlan坐船差不多50分鐘。如果厭倦了Boracay的喧囂或者想有一些不一樣的體驗，Carabao是最近，最理想的選擇。建議來Boracay的，可以留2天住在Carabao，島上幾乎沒有遊客，非常安靜。 Ocean Edge Resort，面朝大海，私密性很強。工作人員都是島上的居民，基本上感受不到商業氣息（和boracay對比鮮明）。晚上可以伴着海浪聲和蟲鳴聲入睡。酒店的海灘可以膚淺。餐食，簡單，但是美味。有遇到朋友在這邊連着住2個月，理想的遠程工作庇護所。 不算是豪華的酒店，但如果你對旅行更注重體驗的話，強推Ocean Edge Resort

Un petit coin de paradis sur l’île de Carabao Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner 3-4 jours dans ce resort absolument magique, niché en pleine nature, sur la paisible île de Carabao. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été enveloppés par une atmosphère de calme total, de silence et de sérénité qui nous a immédiatement déconnectés du monde. Le cadre est tout simplement splendide : une végétation luxuriante, une piscine splendide où il fait bon se détendre à toute heure, et une ambiance apaisante comme on en trouve rarement. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale — chaque membre de l’équipe est d’une gentillesse remarquable, toujours souriant, attentionné et prêt à aider avec le cœur. On se sent vraiment accueillis comme à la maison, mais avec le luxe et la tranquillité en plus. La cuisine, quant à elle, est un vrai coup de cœur : des plats savoureux, préparés avec soin et amour, qui subliment les saveurs locales. Nous nous sommes régalés du matin au soir. Ce séjour a été une parenthèse enchantée que nous ne sommes pas prêts d’oublier. Et si un jour nos pas nous ramènent à Carabao, nous reviendrons ici les yeux fermés. The sleep quality here is guaranteed to be comfortable—it's quiet, relaxing & you are literally immersed in nature, with oceanfront views and bird sounds as well. As for the food and drinks, they’re minimal, but I didn’t mind since I'm not a foodie and I have an allergy to alcohol. My focus was on enjoying the scenery, exploring the island, land tour, snorkeling & not staying in the hotel all day or indulging myself in amenities. It’s a bit of a logistical challenge being on an island, & it’s understandable. I wasn’t expecting everything to be the same as a typical or luxurious hotel, per se. I even brought my own dental kit and hairdryer. Minor issues includes no hand soap & dental kit, but the staff were quick to provide after I requested. Another small issue was the door lock, was tricky to open. I arrived earlier than the usual check-in time so I understand that the room wasn’t ready. Is it worth it? You get what you pay for, so yes, it’s worth it! You get the view, a spacious-clean bathroom, and a large room. As an accounting graduate, I tend to consider value before paying for anything, and I felt this stay was well worth it. An entire cabana was mine. It’s cheap compared to the original price. The staff, especially Jeffrey and Ciara, were incredibly kind and easy to talk to. They even surprised me with a delicious birthday cake courtesy of Chef Ronnie which was so nice. And Chef Melvin for the best garlic chicken I’ve ever tasted—seriously! It feels like home. Can’t wait to come back in March ! 🤞 The property is huge and literally at the edge of the ocean. it requires regular maintenance—something the resort/hotel lacks. I suggest a couple of sunbeds at the beach as well. The location is isolated and quite far from Poblacion, but it has beautiful beaches nearby if you wish to explore, along with restaurants. There are several villas and cabanas to choose from. You can swim or go snorkeling by the beach. So, if you're not picky or high-maintenance and are simply looking for a relaxing night's sleep after a tiring land tour or water activity, I highly recommend this place for you.
