"I rarely spend my time writing reviews but the location of this hotel is in prime location located in middle of the mountain. It’s right next to the number 5 bridge which is dead center of the touristy area. After you book be sure to ask them for their WeChat so that you can communicate with you because they will come pick you up and drop you off before and after the trip. They carry all your luggage’s up and down the stairs. They are extremely nice and accommodating and the room is very clean. The view is absolutely amazing and the viewing deck is also very beautiful. Perfect for taking pictures. Not extremely crowded. For reference, I stayed in room 204. One small bed and one full size bed"

"I had an excellent stay at Shanfeng Study Homestay! The hotel is beautiful, in the style of a boutique hotel, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was very good (chinese breakfast only) and the staff was very kind. I would go back again!"

However, the effort is well worth it. From the moment we arrived, our butler was incredibly attentive, offering a pickup service and always being available to answer questions or help with any needs. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and full of character, with stunning views that make you want to linger by the window. One of the most unique highlights is the rooftop photoshoot service—the backdrop is absolutely spectacular, and the photos turned out unbelievably beautiful. Overall, despite the slightly tricky journey, the combination of personalized service, charming rooms, and unforgettable experiences makes this hotel a true hidden gem."

"The bedroom is new n the location is good if you can climb up thirty staircases. The service is very good n help you to bring the luggages up n down from the Xiao Bei men. Good for young couple but not suitable for old couple or disabled people."

"Fantastic hotel with exceptional service. Mum and I stayed in this accommodation for 3 nights, and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has brand new rooms and facilities, and is clean. The staff are super helpful and courteous. Especially the front desk team. I don’t remember all of them, but team member number 26 was always smiley (they all referred to themselves in numbers, interesting practice). The hotel location is between the city centre and the train station, close to the local art and crafts market (within walking distance). Highly recommended activity is to visit Xia Si old town, where you can experience traditional clothes dying and painting technics that’s special to ethnic communities in Kaili."

"Upon arrival at Kailinan Station, the PIC of Leili sent someone to pick us up. She even recommended us places to go and to dine in Kaili during the short drive. To our surprise, all the staff of Leili are female! Wow, it was all girls power and we were so impressed of how well they have managed the homestay! The homestay is artistically designed and decorated,the ambience is so cozy, the rooms are so new and clean. Not forgetting, the staff are so enthusiastic and kind to share us some information about Kaili. The homestay even provided us with welcome afternoon tea sets which serves their local tea and midnight dessert (green bean soup). We just feel so home staying in Leili. =)"

"One of the most perfect stays I ever stayed at!😍 the view from my room was absolutely astonishing that it felt like Ai not real life😭😍 The hotel staff and management are amazing in helping with directions and the luggage. The hotel itself is located in the higher section of the village. So if you come do pack light and if you are an international traveler, like myself, with heavy luggage don’t worry there is a luggage storage at the entrance of the north gate✨ Have fun exploring"

"Xijiang is undergoing major construction phase. Access from the viewing deck to the hotel is a tiny horrendous narrow steep dirt alley with physical encounter with ponies used for hauling building materials. A new hotel is under construction right next door and screeching of drills and banging of hammer started promptly at 7am. White painted room decorated by light colour elegant furniture provide a lively zen ambiance. Uneven surfaces at the entrance, breakfast bench and parts of the room resulted in a few trips and stumble. Modern and top grade amenities, toilet suites and voice activated commands took a little use to but very convenient. Breakfast was a choice between boiled rice noodle or spaghetti with a heart shaped froed egg in the bowl and another hard boiled on the serving tray. Tit bits and free beer prepaed for afternoon tea was extended to mid night cap. Appreciated most of all were the free porterage of our luggage through the steep alleys of the famous hillsides to and from our room."

"We had a very lovely stay at Lancun Homestay. As foreigners, booking tickets online can be tricky! The staff from the homestay helped us buy the admission tickets as well as the bus tickets online to Miao Village. Clear instructions to reach the homestay were provided. They also shared where to sight see in the village. Supper and breakfast were provided. Everything was yummy. The room was spacious, clean and pretty! The view was awesome too. There's an observation deck up on the roof. Homestay is located near a popular cafe too. One downside was that there's construction going on right beside the homestay, but other than that, it was an enjoyable stay, highly recommended."

"The hotel has some cats around, some naturally comes in and out of the room, so it's better not having high expectations regarding cleanliness. The location is perfect: fantastic view, remote enough for not hearing the nightlife of the center but close enough to the main street. Just a short walk, only downside is that it's all stairs so ask the hotel staff to take your luggage up/down, they will help you."
