I am very happy to have experienced Soco House in St.Lucia in January 2025. For me as a solo traveller, it was a perfect location. This is an Adults only resort, with a maximum of 76 room capacity and all inclusive drinks and food makes for a perfect vacation spot that's both private and enjoyable and not overcrowded. Close to the lovely sandy beach, great for swimming or just lying in the sun, and just a short walk into town to experience a bit of the local culture. The hotel is very modern in terms of its finish and decor, very clean and very well maintained. The staff will pack you a cooler of cold beer/drinks and also provide towels for your beach outing. One bartender, Charles, very skilled guy, introduced me to the local spiced rum which was amazing, much like a liqueur. I drank this neat for the rest of my stay since it was so good other than the cold Piton beers during the hot sunny days and while at the beach. The food was quite tasty with a good mix of local and western options. I enjoyed 3 lovely meals each day. There is a manager's cocktail night which brings all guests and staff together for a fun evening in the inside bar area before dinner followed by live musical entertainment. Everyone enjoyed this so much couples were up and dancing to the music. I was very touched by the spirit of "ALL" the staff at this facility, starting from the lobby, the security, the cleaners, housekeeping, the restaurant and bar staff, maintenance and all managers. I wish I had written all their names down but will mention a few here, Dana, Edmond, Safraz, Ken, Tamara, Annia, Chester, Cindy and many more wonderful people who work diligently together daily to make our stay a memorable and enjoyable experience. Inspiring!!! Thanks to you "All". What a great, energetic and enthusiastic team!!! led with a great leadership style which contributes to a problem free stay and a very relaxing and pleasurable time. Cheers to all of you!! This is definitely a hidden gem in St.Lucia and I l would look forward to a second visit there for this experience once more.

We had a great holiday staying at this hotel. It is located in a quiet part of Rodney Bay, only a few minutes walk from a nice beach, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is a 4 Star but the Staff are definitely 5 Star. From the Doorman, right the way through to the management team they were all 1st class. The Ethos flows through all levels. Very impressed. I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels on the Island and the team at Soho were better. The entertainment is low key, mainly social with the other guests and we met a lot of interesting people. Pool bar closes at 10 as most rooms overlook it, but the indoor bar is open until 11 and the barman makes sure you have drinks in front of you. They do an induction they day you arrive and it is worth going along, 30 minutes and you are on your way. Once a week they have a rum tasting which the bar staff made lots of fun, learning about rum making on the Island. They also have once a week a "Meet the Team" night, with drinks and music. I liked the way the Restaurant works. For lunch and dinner there is a set menu that changes every few days. We could always find something to suit, but also tried some new tastes. Presentation and delivery were superb. The fixed menu allows the Chefs team to be more efficient, buy local quality fresh foods with less waste. Good quality wines were served. If you want a very special night out, Jacques Restaurant does a nice steak or lobster dinner and is only a few minutes walk. Had a few treatments in the Spa, some good deals on offer. Facial was very good, and therapist was obliging with booking times. This is a relatively new hotel. The reception is Stunning, the whole hotel is spotless. I think the build was started around lockdown/covid and they struggled to get finished. There are some parts that need attention and I did see this happening in a non-intrusive way. Take a good hand mirror with you for make-up/contact lenses and an adapter for your toothbrush, there is plenty UK sockets. You can buy almost anything you forget in Rodney Bay. Assistant in the Hotel Shop was great with suggestions when she could not supply. There are loads of trip to do in St Lucia, but I would caution where you go for Horse-riding. We went to the International Pony Club stable. As experienced riders we know what to look for and this stable was good, particularly for beginners, they had all the safety features we would want to see to make it a great experience. Definitely recommend, we arranged through our Courier Natasha and as a bonus they were also the best price. Taxis are plentiful, they don't negotiate much on price. Car hire and petrol are reasonable. At the end of the road you can get the small mini bus to take you to Gros Islet or Castries. Cost is $1 US each way pp. Look for the green number plate with an M reg. If you turn right on leaving the hotel you will reach the causeway into the Marina. From there you can get a water taxi. We liked to take this to the

I will start this review by sending a huge thank you to the management and staff for the care and attention they showed throughout our stay. Due to my wife's health and mobility issues we had numerous special requirements and once these were understood, nothing was too much trouble in trying to meet those needs. That's not to say that everything went smoothly as we did have several issues but I want to commend everyone for the huge efforts they made to make us as comfortable as possible and try to resolve all problems. Without exception the staff were brilliant but I will make special mention of Dayna (restaurant manager), the chef and all the restaurant and kitchen staff for their efforts to meet our dietary and timing requirements. Thanks also to Eloise who always made us laugh!! And Chester for excellent cocktails and general attentive service. On to the generalised bit. Soco House is an attractive, well maintained and well run adult only hotel of 70-80 rooms and so the amenities on offer are less than the larger hotels but the personal nature of the service provided more than made up for that for us. Although the hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis there is just one dining room serving 3 meals a day on an a la carte basis which we prefer as buffets can be so impersonal and quick turnover. The lunch and dinner 3 course menus changed every 2 days and offered a limited choice of 3 starters, 5 mains and 3 desserts (caution - not great for vegetarians but I'm sure efforts would be made to accommodate). Snacks are available at set times in morning and afternoon. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel has a reserved section of the beach 5-10 minutes walk away and provides cool box drink supplies to take with you, umbrellas and beds are provided by an outsourced supplier and a beach resturant is just 50 yards away at the entrance to the beach. The following are some, hopefully, constructive thoughts for prospective guests and suggestions for management. Firstly the hotel's info makes it clear that it is not an "Accessible" hotel but the fact that it is small, compact and has ground floor rooms made it fine for our needs but I strongly advise others with mobility issues to book a Courtyard ground floor room as the stairs to the 2 upper floors are not easy (and no lifts). Secondly for guests, the rooms have fixed-head showers with no grab bars so as my wife finds it difficult to stand for long we used a chair from our patio area as no stools are provided. For the management I would say that more sunbeds would help to reduce the daily scramble for beds, especially as the very high tides while we were there meant fewer guests using the beach. I'd also suggest swapping the positions of cabanas and sunbeds so sunbed users can have more daily sun if they want it as opposed to cabana users who are clearly wanting shade. I would also suggest more options be given at meal times for vegetarians. Finally it's a personal preference b

Friendliest resort we have ever been to. Very civilized atmosphere. No messy buffets like in other all-inclusive resorts. Very good quality meals. No loud music around the pool, just pleasant background music. No sub-par evening entertainment but quiet and relaxing place. Amazing staff and incredible beach perfect for long swims.

The staff at the soco house are very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The resort was very clean and has a great pool and bar. The beach is very close and the staff provides towels for the beach. The food at the hotel was delicious and has a variety to choose from. Ken went above and beyond for us and made us feel very comfortable and ensured a great time for us.

We loved our holiday to St Lucia - such a beautiful island ! We are not a lover of big hotels with eat all you buffets so SoCo was the perfect boutique hotel for us . Meals are served to your table some of them were a little hit & miss but you have to remember you are not in your home country - There was cooked breakfast, egg Benedict , cereals , toast , fruit for breakfast, 3 course choice for lunch & dinner -the restaurant staff were all lovely & hard working as all the staff were !big shout out to Elouise who always gave us a giggle . Bar staff Charles - Jason & others but can’t recall names were great fun & reception area staff & manager were very friendly - the bars in the evening could be open a bit later . There isn’t a great deal of sun loungers so I think a few deck chairs could be swapped for loungers - nice to lounge after a day out . The room was perfect we had ground floor - ut was a lovely size it could just do with a few more towel rails to hang your towels . Short walk to the beach / hotel provide cool boxes -beers water etc to take down with you which is a nice touch . Turn right outside hotel to catch the water taxi over to pigeon island ( we booked ours through hotel reception ) Left to hotel entrance you always find Patrick the taxi man - he is a great chap who will give you a price & taxi you where ever you would like to go - he took us for the day to Marigot Bay where he waited for us & brought us back when we were ready to return . Few minutes walk to restaurants & bars which is great for an evening stroll . Friday is fry Friday street party - don’t miss it it’s an excellent experience . All in all it was perfect stay for us on a gorgeous island .

Super disappointed in this place. Food was subpar at best. Service was terribly slow. And the hours to eat are very restrictive. There is only one restaurant and you have to make reservations for breakfast and dinner- only problem is we could only get 9:30 reservations for dinner or 7:30am for breakfast- which who wants that?? The menu is VERY limited and many times they are out of items on the already limited menu. The room was clean- the bathroom was not- and we never had hot water the entire time we were there. When I inquired about this I was told that I was in a “tropical environment” and did I need hot water. Ummm, yes I do. There are not enough chairs around the pool for the number of guests…..and many of the ones that are there are broken. There is a beach across the street where there are chairs for Soco guests to use, but the chairs and umbrellas are broken and falling apart. All in all, I would not recommend this place. I have never written a review before, but hope this helps someone else make a better choice when choosing where to stay. Soco is old and tired. Everything about it is old and tired. So if that’s your lane, you’re going to love it.

My first time to the beautiful island of St Lucia, and it did not disappoint. Such a beautiful island. Soco House is situated in the Gros Inlet area, on Rodney Bay. A small hotel, which appears to be in operation for a number of years based on the condition, but overall in good repair. Who made the stay such a good experience were notably Saf and Vaughan at the bar. Davaugne, Jane, Daina and Sharline on the wait staff were very helpful as well. The food was delicious and well presented. Dinners typically offered 5 separate options over 3 courses of meal. Dinner options changed up every 3-4 days, allowing for some variance in food choices. The breakfast menu was the same, with relatively slow service, but for us it was a relaxing breakfast. Food was well prepared and tasty. More options in getting an early morning coffee would have been helpful. ie coffee station or someone manning an espresso maching would have been nice. Th hotel bars close at 10, which made for an early end to the evening. However you could go to the restaurant district down the street which had bars open later. The rooms were clean and comfortable, however a bit run down. There were no shower doors, which allowed water to spill out over the dated bathroom. Everything in the room worked well and was comfortable. The balcony door was wood, an creaked open and looked like it could have been made to fit better. The sunbeds at the pool were left out several times during the rain storms, and didnt appear to be in good repair. There were personnel moving the cushions in a out but they had stains on them, so we avoided them. Pool was in good condition and clean, however small. The beach is a short walk and unfortunately once there, the beach looked a bit sketchy, with approaching vendors. The Royalton hotel has acquired property along the beach and is apparently in the beginning stages of renewal. A quite can be annoying and disruptive, which is a common occurance in the Caribbean.
