The Harbour

Great location - a wee bit tired. We had a lovely relaxing break. I realise that the rating for this property I read before booking 14A The Harbour had some reviews for The Harbor Club which is totally different. This property has no infinity pool, no reception and no spa, but that did not detract from us having a peaceful (mainly) break. I say mainly as it was low season so the bar - La Vie - at the other end of The Harbour from this tranquil apartment only fired twice during our 8 night stay. The bass was loud! The location cannot be faulted. I loved swinging on the hammock looking out onto the marina, and the shops and restaurants were so close there were no calories walked of going to dinner. The apartment was well equipped and set up as a one bedroom for us. Air con in the living space didn’t work for three days but just needs better instructions as it was easily rectified when the man came to fix it. The safe didn’t work as the key didn’t fit - but that was ok. The security guards and the fact that it is a gated complex means everything was ok. Would benefit from some dishwasher tablets being provided. The swimming pool never had any of the other residents and visitors in it when we swam. It’s small but beautifully set as all the gardens are beautifully kept. To sum up I had a great holiday but a few easily remedied maintenance tasks could elevate this property.

Apartment # 14A at The Harbour in Rodney Bay was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed one of our best holidays ever. Despite being close to numerous restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, the shopping mall and other amenities, this fantastic apartment in a quiet location, ground floor, on the corner and away from the pool. We felt very safe and secure. The lovely gardens with their various trees, shrubs and flowers are very well-kept. We enjoying watching the hummingbirds and bananaquits visiting every day. Beautiful Reduit Beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable with great facilities. We loved sitting on the patio with its amazing view of the harbour. The photos do not do it justice Our housekeeper, Jeny, came twice a week. She was very welcoming, efficient, friendly and helpful. The manager, Cleopatra, called by on our last day for a chat. We told her that we had been very happy with everything and that we would return as soon as possible.

We had booked a double room with estuary view. The room was very small for a double, but a six foot bed dominated the room with hardly room to maneuver and only one chair for two people. No luggage rack and a tiny cupboard for a wardrobe. It as like staying in a caravan.

A last minute change to our plans took us from one destination down to St. Lucia within 5 days of travel due to a large tropical depression. We could not be more happy we made the change to find this little gem of a hotel on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. The hotel arranged our transportation from the airport which was about 90 plus minutes drive. Our driver was exceptional and we used him or entire trip. The staff was most accommodating and the management was on the floor daily visiting with guest to ensure all was satisfied and enjoying their island experience. Modern accommodations, beautiful room overlooking the Rodney Bay Marina and the three infinity pools all westerly facing for the evening sunsets. The food was delicious in all the outlets and the bartenders friendly and fun to enjoy their company while sitting around the three bars. We had a ball to say the least and met beautiful people from the island and all over the world. The location on the north end was great. Close proximity to beaches, Pigeon Island, the Rodney Bay Marina and local shopping as well as the Friday night street party in Goslet Islet. Thank you Stormy, Julius, Gavin, Ronnie, Vito, Mo, Tisa, and so many I cannot remember all their names for a great experience. We will be back and recommend this little gem.
