Unda

This is the first review I’ve ever wrote and the reason for that is because Unda blew us away!!! I always find people tend to write bad reviews rather than good reviews. We arrived on 26th June and were checked in by the friendliest member of staff, told us to sit down, gave her our passports, served a cold refreshing drink and before we’d finished the drink we were checked in and taken to our room. WOW the swim up rooms are out of this world! It absolutely made our break away. Inside the rooms is everything you’d need, some nights we just chilled and watched Netflix. The best room we’ve ever had. There’s a small gym that we used and you are given beach towels which were brilliant, none of the hard, rough towels that you get at some resorts. We upgraded to all inclusive as it was only £50 each through jet2 and we really enjoyed the food. Instead of feeling like we were eating crap processed food it was always fresh and so tasty. We also ate from the a la carte menu and that was great. The food was slightly cold when we first arrived but after 1 day it was hot. In a morning you can ask for omelettes, fried eggs etc, the Chicken and beef stew was delish. The drinks selection/ cocktails was huge. We never had an issue getting a drink and the bar staff were super friendly. We walked into Roda a couple of nights as we wanted it a bit more lively. The hotel has singers on but it is a very chilled vibe so do not expect a party night etc. The attention to detail at the hotel and the small relaxed BoHO vibes set this hotel apart from others and we will definitely return!! It’s a new hotel and will have teething problems and can only improve with kind feedback!! We had the BEST time

My wife and I have just got back from an absolutely fantastic week away staying at the gorgeous Unda Hotel in Roda, Corfu. The first thing we noticed on check-in was how friendly the staff are. They were all so lovely and helpful during our stay and also when we had a question or were looking for information about our stay. Always met with a genuine smile and we were always asked how we were enjoying our stay. The room itself was spotlessly clean. The decor is elegant and the extra touches, like USB sockets, rainfall shower room, shower robes and slippers, give it an added air of class. The room was turned over every day and fresh towels were also laid out every day. I have never felt as comfortable in a room as this. Our room overlooked the share pool and also a couple of the private pool rooms. These looked phenominal. If it wasn't for the unusual circumstances surrounding our stay (which had nothing to do with Unda Hotel) i would have definately booked one of these rooms. The location of the hotel is stunning, only a stones throw away from the sea, with Albania rising in the distance (the sunset is by far the best I have seen on my travels). The grounds, even though they are newly installed, are beautiful. Once the fauna has taken root and has started to grow fully, it will be an awe inspiring sight. The towns of Roda and Achavari are both only about 10-15 mins walk away and both have a variety of taverns and restaurants should you require them. There are also many venues that offer free sunbeds for you to be able to take advantage of the calm and clear beach. The restaurant has seating inside and outside. The outside seating sets up an unbelievable ambience that really gives off that fine dining experience. The food is on another level. The selection of food, whilst not as vast as other hotels we have stayed in, was cooked to perfection, and there was always a different choice of food to have each day. We also had a meal from the a la carte menu and, wow, were we blown away. The food was sublime!! The staff at mealtimes were amazing. Every one of them. They were always on hand to take drink orders with a friendly smile and they always offered recommendations about nearby attractions. A special mention must be made to Stefano, the team captain, who always stopped by our table for a chat about how our day was going and really did take interest when we talked. Also to Chrysa, who made sure our glasses were topped with water and also showed genuine interest in our comfort and enjoyment. There is a varied drinks selection for all-inclusive but an even greater selection should you wish to purchase one, each mixed to perfection by the lads behind the bar. The facilities are second to none. The pool and the pool area are so clean and the sunbeds are very tidy and well kept. We never had a problem getting a sunbed on the days we decided to have a pool day. The lifeguard was always on hand and was active during his shift, removing spent glass

The hotel is brand new, and the decor they are creating is lovely. I loved the rooms — my family and I stayed in three different ones, and they were all gorgeous. The pool and the hotel overall are very clean. However, the main issue lies in the service. I understand it’s a new hotel, and during my stay, it was fully booked, which may explain the apparent lack of staff. The food, offered buffet-style as part of the all-inclusive package, is actually very good. But again, service is where things fall short. Often, no one approaches your table unless you call them. Even after making a request, it can take around 30 minutes just to receive drinks. Service at the pool is also very slow. Orders are sometimes forgotten, and if you go directly to the bar, they won’t serve you — instead, they tell you to ask your waiter. Unfortunately, waiters can take up to half an hour to arrive, and even then, delays are common. Sometimes you need to reorder because your request was forgotten. That said, I want to give special recognition to Victoria — she was truly amazing and helped me through all the issues I encountered. Also, the lifeguard deserves praise. He consistently went above and beyond his duties — helping with lounge chairs, getting pool towels, and even cleaning the pool area. His friendliness and willingness to assist in any way made a big difference.
