Travelodge Carlisle Todhills

Location brilliant for our return leg from Scotland. Reception staff were fantastic and really helpful. Top rated and we are always happy to stay there. No food outlet is not a problem as there is a large variety of foodie places in Carlisle.

A very convenient hotel if you are travelling on the M6. A helpful and friendly team, throughout and had lots of useful information and advice about the area. They made me feel very welcome and secure. The hotel was spotless and surprisingly low external sounds, considering it was so close to the M6. Plenty of clearly visible (from hotel) car park spaces, so no worry about car security either. Also a reasonably priced room. I would recommend 100%.

My room was canny, the cosey bed and the room/bathroom met my needs for a quick night kip. My only concern is the handful of black hairs on one of my fluffy pillows?! However generally staff were friendly and welcoming and arriving very late at night did not hinder me getting in!

On arrival for an overnight stay the room looked clean, bathroom clean. It was a disabled room we booked but sadly toilet far to low. Bring disabled I really struggled, couldn't use shower as it was over a low bath not walk in. Husband used shower and it was awful, water just trickled out. We were in room 1 round from reception, very noisy. Door banged all day and night but not as much noise as coming from room directly above, they were having a party. They banged doors, wandered and thumped about all night. I gave in at 4 am and went to reception to ask if they would go and shut them up. All went quiet for 10 mins then started again. We got no sleep, none at all. Bed was extremely uncomfortable it was 2 singles zipped together but 1 mattress was thinner than the other so there was a huge hard ridge right down middle of the bed. We gave up trying to sleep and checked out at 7.30am long before we intended to. Drove into Carlisle to get breakfast as no breakfast there unless a roll at Costa. Upon checkout I informed girl on desk of our experience and she was not one bit bothered. Shrugged her shoulders and said "oh well". Not an apology or offer of any refund as compensation just a look and a shrug. We will never be back and I warn anyone booking don't expect much sleep or helpful staff. We were very disappointed. Premier Inn all the way for us.

5* I had a fantastic stay at Travelodge! The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth, and the location was perfect for my trip. Despite being affordable, the hotel didn’t compromise on comfort or service. I will definitely be staying here again—highly recommend!

Stayed to work in the kocak area, travelling into carlisle itself each day, which is only a short trip on the motorway. The place was clean, comfortable, basic, but exactly what you'd expect from a travelodge. The team there were super friendly, really helpful, and gave me lots of opinions on food places to eat out at.
