Not worth what they charge!!! Does not sleep 6 as stated on TripAdvisor description or 4 listed on Meredith Lodging Site! Nothing at all like picture shown on website! No pull out sofa bed -a pull out sofa “trundle” that would work for a toddler… sofa well beyond need for replacement yet counted as bed for 2. Only one extra blanket and sheet set, door to deck impossible to open and didn’t lock, water damage (mold) in bathroom, cheap plastic seats on deck, filthy fan, couldn’t event get a matching set of silverware for that price $$$. Furniture set up with fireplace gave less than 2 foot passage way between fireplace base and sofa. Less than helpful staff who didn’t seem to think any of our concerns were an issue…

RENTER BEWARE  RE: Meredith Lodging Vacation Rentals are rented “AS IS WHERE IS” meaning if you rent a vacation home from Meredith Lodging based on what you see in the photos or description and the Vacation Home is in disrepair & in very different condition than what was advertised in the photos you will have no recourse and ML will not compensate you.  Whale Watchers has an amazing view, but furniture is/was in disrepair such that it dramatically reduced the value of our rental & the overall enjoyment of our holiday. Independent of the furniture, “Whale Watcher’s Condo” is a fourplex and an old building with very thin walls and ceilings. On the nights when there were people in the unit above us we could hear them walking, moving and talking.   I would not recommend this unit if you are looking for peace and tranquility as there are far better options in the area. Upon our arrival we found that some of the key advertised furniture was either destroyed, severely rusted or collapsing to a point where it was no longer comfortable or usable.  On the patio, the frame of the wicker sofa was rusted through and had collapsed. When I sat in one of the wicker chairs the rusted bottom frame collapsed (FYI - I am 200 lbs) making the chair unusable. The remaining metal bistro set and table were covered in rust and dilapidated.  The interior sofa looked cosmetically nice but as soon as we sat on the cushions we sank deep into the sofa well past the frame. No refund offered, told AS IS WHERE IS.

We can’t wait to come back to the Whale Watchers Inn! Right on the beach, with beach access. A location you cannot beat. All the rooms seemed recently remodeled, very clean and comfortable. I loved that the units have kitchens, that include all the essentials to cook in the unit and enjoy a relaxing stay. I will miss sitting on the back deck watching the waves come in!

First of all the view of the Ocean right off the deck is incredible. You can walk right off the deck and onto the Beach. Our unit looked to be recently upgraded with new appliances and furniture. It was very clean and cozy. Bedding was clean and the bed very comfortable. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants and bars in very close proximity to the rental. Also a short walk to a really nice coffee shop/Bakery. This place is awesome for the money due to the location and amenities.

If you are looking for a relaxing, cozy space with a beautiful ocean view… this is your place!!! So beautifully decorated and very clean. We didn’t want to leave to go anywhere else! Highly recommend; we will definitely stay here again.
