Super 8 by Wyndham Rock Springs

I thought this would be a good experience. It wasn’t. It was awful. All because of one mean night clerk who either owns the place and doesn’t care, or who has a boss who can’t control her. Essentially, this was a great example of how one angry person hellbent on keeping Fox News on in the lobby eliminated any possibility of enjoyment. In this toxic national political climate, having Fox News on will immediately alienate at least half of your clientele. And not allowing a change to the channel—digging in and insisting on that “news” channel—makes things 100 times worse. Having music on in the lobby would immediately solve that problem. Now, as to the mean, angry employee—get rid of her. She is SO nasty. She was ok—not great but at least not overly mean—with male customers, and downright snarling with women. Guess what happens when you hate on your women customers? They never come back, and make sure others know how mean you are. We’ve stayed here before on business and also a few times for personal trips. We must have been lucky enough before to avoid this woman (60s, short/average height, brown hair, glasses, never smiles). Manager/owner—-this employee is costing you valuable business. Please educate your employees on the value of keeping politics out of your lobby.

Bad service, noise, very limited breakfast. The room was in need of touch up & a good cleaning. The staff could learn to smile & make you feel welcome.

The folks working the evening shift were super friendly. The Bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.

Room was very dirty. Looked like bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in months. Event in town, full hotels & very overpriced.

Extremely slow check in, took reception 20-25 mins per person to check in. Pool had sharp rocks at bottom cutting the feet for myself and children, was also very cold. Broken hairdryer plug, another room had broken AC which we moved to another room. Laundry soap dispenser said out of order, and they didn't have another option to buy at desk. Pop machine was out of every soda except diet pepsi. Breakfast was very poor, not many options and very cheap selection. No elevator. Stayed 2 nights with 2 rooms and all keycards locked us out after 24 hours and had to get reactivated.

there were holes in the shower walls left from installing the curtain rod that were just patched with tissue paper. wifi seemed to be turned off in the morning; there was none. Lot of road noise and noise form adjoining rooms.

We stayed here because of value but it turned out to be the best motel we’ve stayed at on our way from the east coast to the west coast. Close to I-80. Wal-Mart next door as well as 1/2 dozen places to eat. Clean property, lobby and interior space. Staff super friendly and a continental breakfast was still served here. The plus though was the room. Updated and super clean. Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room too. Our weekday rate was like $60 bucks…. Best deal in Rock Springs. Well stay next time through.

Check in was quick and easy. Nice lady doing needle work set me up. No charge for service animals. Lobby was nice and tidy. Rooms have been updated and are pretty nice for I-80. Fast food all around. Shower was good but the tub didn’t drain, also the faucet turns the opposite of f what you expect. Flat screen tv didn’t work. I was offered a chance to move but who wants to move twice after driving all day. I would stay here again. I’ll just check the tv first.

Worst facility we have ever stayed in. The room was filthy. Carpet was covered in food stains along with the bed cover. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The facility stated it was pet friendly but had to take the dogs over a block away to potty.
