I travel at least annually, and oftentimes more frequently, to Mayo Clinic in Rochester attending to my and my wife's health needs. With all of the trips to the clinic, to restaurants and the "neat" things that downtown Rochester, MN, has to offer, I insist on overnight accommodations that are the best I can find. I have been making these trips for over 14 years. There is, without exception I can find, no hotel in Rochester that can exceed the totality of the benefits provided by the Towers at Kahler. The 10th and 11th floors of the Kahler Hotel have been visited by very distinguished guests for years - dignitaries from many foreign countries, diplomats, politicians, and many other people needing a hotel that provides comfort and the kindness of a staff that understands "why" people are visiting Rochester. The Towers at Kahler are directly across the street from the south entrance to Mayo Clinic - a 150 feet walk. When the weather is inclimate, one can choose to take a very comfortable and still brief walk through the subway level access to the clinic. There is simply no hotel location in Rochester that is as close to Mayo Clinic than the Towers. However, nothing about the services provided at the Kahler take second place to any other place you can stay. The element of your stay at the Towers that exceeds the location is the amazing kindness and expertise of the staff. They truly treat everyone the same - like your are the only guest in the building and like they are consumed with fulfilling every request you might have. David, Hisham, Shane, Cameron have been on this "concierge" type floor for years. They, and those who have more recently joined the staff, are completely committed to the needs of the guest and work incessantly to provide the fundamental as well as the "not so" fundamental needs. They provide transportation to and from and all in between. They provide food and drinks, from the specialty items prepared by them for the guests on the concierge floors to items you want from the excellent hotel menu, including coffee and breakfast in the morning continuing to evening supper and a great assortment of snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. If they don't have it and they can possibly find it, they will do everything within reason to get it for you. Even after searching through years of experience - I cannot find one negative thing about my experience at the Towers at Kahler. You will not be disappointed. Frank
