We stayed for President’s Day weekend and honestly it was one of our favorite trips to date! You’re presented with a daily itinerary at check in so you can plan your day. Check out is at 11am but they allow you to enjoy lunch at 12:30pm and have access to the ranch until 3pm. There is honestly so many activities to choose from that we really wished we spent a week instead of a long weekend. The food was outstanding and we appreciated having the same table and server for every meal. The hotel was very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable and water pressure was great. The nightly live entertainment was fantastic! We loved being able to enjoy it by the fire in the lobby or on the most comfortable couches ever. The staff treated us all like family and it was so hard to say goodbye. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

We had a trip planned for the summer that was canceled due to Pine Ridge going out of business. My kids love horses so we tried Rocking Horse Ranch for the first time and absolutely fell in love. Our first impression when driving in was how immaculate and beautiful the grounds are. It felt epic and special right off the bat and that's how the entire trip went! There was so much to do at all times and EVERYTHING was included for our family. We rode horses multiple times a day and loved watching them cross the street in the afternoon. We laughed and had so much fun on the banana boats in the lake. The pools and slides (both indoors and out and HEATED) were a blast for all of us. Food was delicious and plentiful. If you're looking for a dude ranch getaway, but want even more, I highly recommend Rocking Horse Ranch.

This resort closed it's doors for good and cancelled our vacation out of the blue. They provided no alternative leaving me to find a last minute getaway for my family. Thankfully we found Rocking Horse Ranch. It offered us everything we were looking for and much more! Perhaps the closing of Pine Ridge was a blessing in disguise...

The only reason why I give a 4 star review vs 5 star is that it seemed that they were overbooked with lack of staff. I would absolutely give staff especially staff at the barn 5 out of 5 stars. My son and I were very sad to learn that the ranch is closing. We did however make the best of our last trip. The staff continue to be beyond amazing and this is the first vacation spot that has truly felt like a second home. Everyone is exceptionally welcoming and kind. We spent the majority of our time at the barn, okay maybe all of our time. It is reassuring to see that all the horses continue to look great and the trail rides are still top notch. It is clear that the wranglers care deeply for the horses and show what true horsemanship looks like along with partnership with their primary horse. This was an invaluable lesson for my son. My son has developed a special relationship with the wranglers and one horse in particular over the years, this has been priceless. We will forever be thankful for the wranglers going out of their way with constant kindness, humor, and instruction. My son and I have become strong western riders thanks to our experiences at Pine Ridge. We wish all of you our best with your future endeavors!!

We had an amazing experience. There were many different levels of training with the horses. Lea and Becca were very kind to my children. The deluxe private ride with Lea was super fun and something to always remember. The horses were so well behaved and the food was spectacular. The goats were lovely and the wranglers were so kind. Perfect water slides for kids. Spectacular views, including in the dining hall. A lot of memories were made.
