Residence Inn Rochester West/Greece

We spent 3 nights here at end of September. Hotel is located off of NY State route 104 and is a quick to access from Interstate 390. While route 104 is a busy road, the area immediately around the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of parking and you can walk to Applebee's and Olive Garden which are adjacent to the hotel or you can walk across the pedestrian bridge over route 104 which will bring you to a Mexican restaurant and a sports bar and grill. The hotel itself is in very good shape, service was friendly, the King studio was very spacious for a studio, it had a full refrigerator, 2 burner stove, breakfast bar area, a comfortable sofa and a very comfortable king bed. Also has a large flat screen tv with a swivel so that you can either watch it from the sofa or from the bed. Bathroom was spacious and there is a vanity sink and closet in the space between the bed and the bathroom. there was ample closet and drawer space for 2 people. Plenty of plugs for charging phones/tablets. Hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub which were very nice to use, although the water in the pool was cold. There is a grill outdoors that guests can use and while we didn't use it, we did see a couple of guests using it to grill steaks. Hotel offers a free breakfast...nothing spectacular but adequate enough that you won't go hungry...Warm scrambled eggs, warm breakfast meat, warm home fries, oatmeal, cereals, fruits, yogurts, and pastries. The neighborhood around the hotel is nice and seems very safe. It took about 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to the Strong Museum in downtown Rochester, about 50 minutes to drive from the hotel to Letchworth State Park. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Rochester area.

We recently had an excellent stay at this property. There don't seem to be a lot of recent reviews, so this will hopefully point you in the right direction. Pros: + Excellent staff. Truly helpful, every single person we spoke to. You know how sometimes you don't realize you were asking for something, but they realize it and do it for you? That's the kind of staff they had working there. From the front desk staff, to the guy who was on his hands and knees cleaning a doorway. A+. + Clean property. The rooms were clean, the bed was clean. We were happy. + Easy location to access food (many restaurants within walking distance), and downtown Rochester (10-15 minute drive). + Tesla destination charger at sister property next door. Cons: - None. That's why I gave this property 5 stars.

Always stay here. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and efficient. Very nice free breakfast and the gym and indoor pool are nice perks. Conveniently located and near many excellent restaurants and a couple of short, easy walking trails.

The rooms and amenities at this location are top notch, clean and well maintained. The staff is informative, friendly and ready to help. I travelled with my family and shared a 2 bedroom suite in this "all suites" extended stay hotel. My kids and wife found the kitchen in the room convenient, clean and well stocked with cutlery, dishes, pots and cooking utensils. Also the two bedroom suites have 2 bathrooms, so 2 people can be using the washroom at the same time if needed.

Absolutely awesome. The staff are all super friendly. The room was fantastic. It looks to be recently remodeled. A nice touch is the couch is not a cloth material, so it appears to be easily wiped down without soaking in things like the previous rooms. Breakfast was really great as well. I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

We were several family members (21 in total) venturing to Rochester, New York for a Christmas Gift experience, visiting the Strong Museum. We came by car from Canada to spend the weekend together and enjoy what we hoped, would be a memorable moment. The Strong Museum was amazing! I recommend you go if you get the chance. The Residence Inn by Marriot, unfortunately did not hit the spot. Desk personnel were extremely unprofessional and lacking in every way. We had to request and remind them that bed linen was not provided for the pull-out couch, and that plastic covers on the mattress had not been removed. Nice that they were new, but really was that our job? They didn't even bring the linen to our rooms. We had to carry 6 room loads of linens through the hallway by ourselves. There was no restaurant....even though the website specifically says there was. Rooms were spacious and newly renovated, but it didn't make up for the next big disappointment, which was the pool. Upon entering the pool area, there was a heavy chemical intoxication. The chlorine hit you and before long, (and I mean within 10 minutes), your eyes were stinging and you felt like you were going to cough up a lung. We advised the staff, who basically looked at us like they had no idea what we were talking about. We mentioned it again the next day, and was advised that there had been only one other complaint, and that the chemical levels were fine. Just recently saw that a visitor on the same weekend has made a review complaint that in fact two people fainted during this weekend in the pool area because, I think, there was too many chemicals. Much like us, these visitors were also very upset that they could not use the pool. We came with many children who were just so excited to spend time together and be in the pool but, because the staff did not wish to acknowledge the complaints, or exercise the ability to maintain the safety or well being of the guests in the pool, we were not able to use it for fear of our health. I do hope that the management of this hotel looks into this issue and the staff, to properly and adequately ensure that all guests are made to feel welcome and looked after.

Solid hotel for our family visit to Rochester. Breakfast buffet was just fine. There is indoor pool, volleyball court, basketball court, and outdoor grilling patio. So some places to hangout. Met all of our needs for visiting from out of town.

We just returned from a 2 night stay. This has been a go to hotel for us when in the area. The location is close to shopping and restaurants (we walked over to take out an order from Applebees next door!). Admittedly, a previous visit was during Covid. We vowed not to return as the rooms were so very much I need of renovation. Well…the hotel has had a major renovation. Look at the new pics on the webpage for reference. Heidi was so helpful with our booking and while we were on site, a truly great ambassador for the hotel. Micheal was so helpful as well. Two stellar employees!

We stayed at this hotel for prom night. It was clean and breakfast was included. We enjoy the swimming pool/hot tub. The only thing was that the walls were thin and you could hear everything the next room guests were doing.
