The Robertson Small Hotel and Spa by the Living Journey Collection

after two years I returned to the 'Small' for a few nights and the hotel has just gotten better. The moment you enter the compound there is a sense of tranquility emerging, the rooms are superbly equipped and decorated, the revitalized restaurant serves great food, the service is super friendly, overall it is truly the place to stay in Robertson. There is plenty to do and see in the area which is becoming fast an attractive alternative to the tried and tested winelands around Stellenbosch. It is new and trendy, restaurants and wineries are busy, great to see such positive vibe.

The moment we walked through the gate of this beautiful, stately property we were met with the warmth and friendliness of a bygone area filled with peace and tranquility. All in contrast to the state of the art 21st century facilities, from interior decoration, amenities, manicured gardens, spacious layout of our rooms, pools, spa and meticulous care to details. What a beautiful little Hotel, we spend one night what was definitely to short. We will be back. The garden is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The food was amazing. Highly recommended 👌

The hotel is an absolute gem, beautifully decorated, the staff were extremely helpful, food in their restaurant was outstanding. Our room was beautifully clean. The spa was incredible. Location is very central. We spent 3 nights and would stay here again. Absolutely loved our special weekend away.

We had a wonderful stay at the Robertson Small Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming — genuinely friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with direct access to the pool, which made for a relaxing and private atmosphere. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with a peaceful vibe — perfect for unwinding. The on-site restaurant was excellent — we had a delicious dinner and an absolutely lovely breakfast the next morning. Fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. A highlight of the area is wine tasting — but a word of advice: most places close early on Saturdays (around 3pm), and nearly everything is closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly! Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing escape in the winelands.
