Robe Haven Motel

Huge room which had a huge king sized bed, a lounge, dining table with chairs and plenty of room to spare - easily twice the size of a normal room. It does have heating but only a fan for cooling - luckily we didn’t need either as it was perfect weather. The operator was super accommodating - we were running late as we had to charge our car in a neighboring town and he rang to find out if we were still coming and then kept the office open an extra hour until we arrived.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Melbourne. Our first impression was that it resembled Bates Motel from the movie Psycho! However once inside there was everything that we needed for our one night stay there. Jess the owner was very helpful with questions that we asked about the area. Location was excellent too as it is located by the beach and a short walk from the town with its array of bars, restaurants and shops.

Disgusting thieves. Although we do paid on *********** the took our payment from our card too. Now will not answer us so we are trying to deal thru booking but so far to no avail. We stayed several nights so a substantial amount of money. The also had a party with all their mates there one night of our stay keeping us up until 1am. Sheets were not changed, room not entered although we stayed for 5 nights Never again

Bed smelt like deep heat, crisps on table, coffee cup and spoon dirty, no milk in fridge, carpet is dirty and stained. Hower screen must be original wish i boughtmy thongs to shower in. Don't waste your money, pitch a tent

Should have read previous reviews 🙄 😒 Only stayed 1 night instead of 2. Stained old carpet Dated floral chairs curtains hmm not clean or the nets. A Positive was fresh clean linen on bed otherwise I'd have been gone. Bathroom ok sort of rusty stains around bottom of shower but everything badly needs upgrading.

Ok this place is quite old as is Robe and it’s magnificent surroundings. After talking with Harmeet (only been here for 3months) which is the new manager @Robe Haven Motel, he was aware of previous reviews/comments and seems to be looking forward to making a difference here. This will depend on owners input and as a previous Resort Manager this can be quite a challenge. You honestly couldn’t get a nicer manager and extremely understanding. I turned up in the middle of a storm and we both had different bookings and confusion through *********** and my booking on his records was for the previous day which shouldn’t have been charged to my account for a no show. Harmeet was so understanding that he waived the bill and rebooked me in for 2nights at my discounted *********** price. The bed was super comfortable, clean linen and towels and the bathroom was sparkling & spacious. There are a few defaults from wear n tear and yes the carpets are old and tainted, not a good look and really need to be renewed. Please all take into consideration when a an old manager is exiting they generally lower their enthusiasm to go out of their way and this shows from previous reviews before Harmeet’s time., and no l do not know Harmeet or have ever met him before staying here. This is only my 2nd time to Robe in my Life and l would return. Hopefully this little Haven can be brought back to a new lease and fresh life. All the best for the new Managers.
