A total time-capsule perfectly kept! The furniture was comfortable in the areas you wanted to hang out, the decorative pieces were in great condition and from the late 50’s/early 60’s.You feel like you are in the middle of the woods, but town is just down the road. River is in the backyard, the hot tub was in perfect condition, kitchen was well stocked for cooking for a large group, & the property overall was very comfortable. It’s old though, so lots of creaks & quirks but that made it very much like a home. Lots of sitting areas and space for kids/adults to separate when wanted or hang together. Showers were a bit to be desired as the house was built with baths in mind, but a small price of lack of luxury to pay for a unique place!Note - the basement has a complete “apartment” with a bed, TV/couch, bathroom.Also a game room with a pool table, ping-pong, & other game tables!

Cozy We enjoyed our stay. I give it a 10 for cleanliness. The hot tub was great. We woke to coffee and an eagle flying over. The home was a little dated, but the price was right and we enjoyed.

Owners are outstanding We did not actually get to stay at this property, so the five-star rating is not for the property itself, but rather, the ownership... A couple days before our reservation, the owner called very apologetic, informing us that there was a sewer backup and that we wouldn't be able to stay there. But he had a friend who owned a similar size house 5 minutes away, who would be able to put us up for the night, no change in rates or anything. He was super apologetic and went out of his way to get us alternate accommodations, that were every bit as good as what we had been expecting. Even before the unfortunate cancellation occurred, every time I had questions for them, he responded promptly and was very courteous and helpful. It appears that everything you might need for a stay at this property will be there upon arrival- the only thing you need to bring is food.So five star rating for ownership - and hopefully we get to rebook this place in the future because it looks to be wonderful.

Family Holiday It was fun being together and having so much room playing games or watching football or exploring this unique house. It was too wet to explore much of the outside but we did enjoy the hot tub. The stay ended with snow for our Texas family. Thank youyouTexasfamilyyou

Docs is #1 This was my second stay at Docs. It’s the best cabin in all of Ohio and I recommend this to everyone I know! It’s gorgeously built and maintained, plenty to do indoors and out even when the creek is freezing. Benji is a great host and kept up with communication right away.
