Okay, I'll preface this with stayed at a Mitsis last year at Kos & had a good time but sadly not at this hotel. Problems that were minor at Kos but seem to go hand in hand at Mitsis are that though reception is always available, they are not good at providing information. Also unlike all the other staff who are friendly, some of reception seem nonchalant in helping answer questions or providing info. It's a very much, go figure it out & make the best of it approach. A major problem which was minor at Kos was the booking of any restaurant to get out of the humdrum of the buffet which is what you expect, average. Told when we arrived, can just book on app 1 day before. So 1st day, tried that, no availability for the 4 restaurants for our entire stay which was a week. Went back to reception, advised to see concierge person after breakfast. Did so, she was able to get us in at Pan Asian our last night, waiting lists for the others but nothing became available. Second problem and maybe why they don't have a picture of it. We like to play tennis & table tennis. Did so every day in Kos, made sure they had these here before booking. On the app Map, shows two tennis courts. This is an old map. What there is, is half a tennis court in a place where losing balls is a near certainty. Given 1 ball, didn't even bounce, asked for another got similar. 🙄 So table tennis became our routine, luckily have at least this. Doubly lucky, we brought our own bats & balls. Have to book each time, told a couple days in they had run out of balls which was the case until we left. I appreciate its end of season but lots of money is being paid to stay, was their busiest end of season but in all the money they are making, use some on equipment/restock. It's little things like, asked for orange juice with breakfast, had run out half the time. The Pan Asian restaurant we did get in for, no duck left which was the best thing on the menu for us. Cocktails were made badly by some & again, not available as ingredients run out. Pool table out of order and then when it wasn't, saw the white ball had a chunk missing & no chalk. It's a 5 star hotel but as everyone says, it's really 4 stars. But when you start chipping away at availability of bookings/food/drinks & items it becomes a lot less. So very frustrating as could have been good & now have to decide if I want to stay in a Mitsis again as cannot trust what they say is available.
