Anavadia Hotel-All Inclusive

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Went with my girlfriend for our first couple holiday. Arriving outside we were immediately disappointed by the state of the hotel, very run down, dated and not what was seen in the pictures. Lobby stinks of smoke, and half heartedly decorated. Our first room was abysmal with plug sockets falling out the wall, dirty smears, cracked toilet and sink, very poor overall finish and beds which have a close resemblance to a plank of wood. Nowhere near what we expected with the money we payed. Also not receiving an upgraded room we paid for with a pool/Mountain View, but instead having a view of a field littered with rubbish and rubble. We complained and were given a new room, however this room had a distinct foul smell, with cracked flooring, bathroom ceramics. The AC unit was being held together by tape. We then looked around for vacancies in near by hotels however were unsuccessful. We were finally upgraded to a suite, however again for the money we payed the finish was unacceptable. Windows wouldn’t shut which meant the room would fill with flying ants. The door was too small for the frame so would allow ants and bugs to litter the floor. The shower leaked and so did the toilet meaning the bathroom stank of urine. The sofa had suspicious stains all over it. The AC unit would drip liquid all over the bedroom floor. Drains in our bathroom were loose and smelly with dirty stagnant liquid in them. Bed sheets were not cleaned for first 5 days of staying. Only positives of the hotel would be lovely staff (who tried their best to make our stay enjoyable) and the location. However the hotel was at the back end of town which meant walking to any restaurants/beaches meant walking down sketchy dark backstreets. Food was also completely sub par which meant going out and spending on food in the day Would not recommend and would not return.

We have stayed for 1 week in Anavadia Hotel . We have been allocated in the first part of the hotel close to the front pool restaurant and reception .It was always quiet the food was plenty and delicious . Our room was a little dated but always clean . Special thanks to the reception staff for helping us and guide us in order to explore the island . Tip Choose the first pool as its less crowded !!!

What can I say. 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. It's in a great location. We had a brilliant holiday. All the staff are lovely. Great variety of food. We arrived just after midnight. Had a selection of cold meats and salad waiting for us. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels each time. Two good sized pools. Special thanks to the two lovely ladies on reception. George, the hotel manager, ever present, goes out of his way to make your holiday special. Will we book again, most definitely.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff from the receptionist to the bar staff were amazing. Room was spacious, cleaned every day, only fault there was the glasses/ plastic cups were still in the room. Food was good, no complaints but maybe a few more options at dinner for fussy eaters. Pool was lovely and refreshing, some day beds were broken but there was still lots available to use at the start of June time. In a lovely quiet area, 30mins from old town and Rhodes, bus stop just outside the hotel. Have the option to hire a car which we did and would recommend!

Me and my partner wanted a quiet relaxing get away and that's what we got and we loved it , the hotel does need updating I'm not going to lie , but the rooms was clean the food was constant and ok , Bobby the bar pool man is so lovely all ther staff are , and we had a late flight home but they let us use a spare room to shower in with clean towels , could do with a few more sunbeds ,and ice cream that's not a block of solid ice 🤣🤣 , we spent 10 nights there and wasn't ready to go home 🥰

prior to my arrival I emailed the hotel and asked them if they could put me in a ground floor room as I’m solo travelling and I have anxiety so it would make me feel better if I could be on the ground floor to have better/quicker access to the hotel if a problem arose. Granted I paid for a promotional double so I can’t say too much about which room they put me in but they ignored my email & put me in a room across the court yard and on the top floor furthest away from the reception building, I know they got my email also as a few days in the lady VOULA on the front desk spoke to me and causally mentioned she receive the email but mentions no reason why she couldn’t place me in a ground floor room. On my last day my phone broke and I had no back up device and no bank card. My boarding pass was on my phone & I usually tap my phone for payments and never thought I’d be in such a situation! I had 2 hours before my transfer could pick me up and I was trying every way to get my boarding pass, the hotel point blank refused to print it off for me and VOULA the lady on the desk shrug her shoulders and told me to get it at the airport. If it wasn’t for the refusal of the printing of the boarding pass, I’d of happily stayed here again as I was treated like family by the staff TIL check out… I was actually even considering booking the hotel again for the next year. However, I do feel like that was a deal breaker for me that they could see someone struggling to get home and asked for a little support using their printer and voula coldly refused. It shows as soon as it’s your check out day, they don’t give a single damn about you. Never ever ever again.
