I genuinely recommend this hotel. I stayed there a month ago and I loved everything – the service, the food, the drinks, and the beautiful location. I truly recommend it. I don’t understand why people are writing such negative review, I would like to back again

Well what can I say, flight good, private transfer not needed for the cost and fact only about 15 mins from airport. Reception efficient but don’t forget the 70€ extra tax you have to pay. Beautifully decorated area and lots of seating through the other side. Given room 131, well I should have asked to move from the start as I paid extra for sea view. And yes to be fair you could see the sea over the top of the hotel kitchens. Very noisy most of the time, especially later In Evening as well, when people coming out of bar. The room was very dated, cracked toilet basin shocking shower pressure took ages to have shower under the dribble that came out. Fridge on the floor no hangers for clothes, and one night we had cockroach’s in the bathroom. The blonde lady in Reception not at all helpful turning her nose up and saying she would send someone to sort later as no one on shift at present, this was 10.30pm, No hint of an apology. later 2 young boys turned up and admittedly sprayed the room from top to bottom and caught 2 of the blighters. This of course meant we had to stay out of room for an hour till it had settled and at 70 &75 on the 3rd floor was not happy. They wouldn’t move us saying full and we were leaving day after the next. Two big bug bares, who oh who decided that putting a full length glass panel to the front door was a good idea. Light streamed through all night and in end I had to buy blackout bandana so I could sleep. Also the fact that you’re under the direct flight path to the airport runway didn’t help either with planes coming in every10mins. They did stop mainly by midnight. Pool area super lots of room and sun beds subeds on beach are free and part of the hotel complex. However the beach is complete pebbles and you would never allow a child to swim in such rough currents and undertow you need to be strong to get in and out. Pool bar staff fantastic, helpful and free beach towels twice a week. Drinks oh yuk no nothing decent to drink at all. You can’t even buy a better brand of alcohol if you wanted. We would wander up the road to the local bars. Restaurant very good food plentiful well cooked and great variety, yes often the same things but always a choice of at least 7different things to eat. Plus vegetarian option. Breakfast had full English, cereals toast cakes salad ham cheese and fresh made pancakes. Juices tea and coffee. Lunch and diner choice of 3 wines or very fizzy beer. Would I stay again never, the other side of the island is better. You live an learn and get what you pay for I suppose as not e pensive in this day and age.

I have to give credit where it’s due—George at reception, along with Billy and Shelly from the animation team, were incredibly accommodating and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I was let down by how a special request was handled. I had contacted the hotel in advance to arrange birthday decorations for my boyfriend, and they confirmed it would be possible. I handed the decorations to reception the day before, but when we returned to our room on his birthday, there were no decorations—just a basic fruit platter (a banana, orange, and two apples). The room hadn’t been cleaned, there were no fresh towels or bedding, and the beds weren’t made. Reception said they weren’t aware of the request and handed me clean sheets to make the bed myself, which I refused. The housekeeper declined to help with the decorations, leaving Shelly—who went out of her way, even though it wasn’t her job—to take care of it. The food was average at best; we chose to eat out six of the seven nights. The cocktails were disappointing—just vodka, lemonade, and lemon juice served in plastic cups. As for the facilities: there was no music around the hotel during the day, which made the atmosphere feel flat, and the theatre at night didn’t have a bar, which was inconvenient. Evening entertainment wasn’t great, though that might be seasonal. On the plus side, the pool area is nice during the day, the bar staff are friendly, and the hotel’s location next to the beach is ideal.

We paid extra for a full seaview twin room, highly recommended. Spacious room and gorgeous views & sunsets. Comfy beds. Got a lovely warm welcome on arrival after flight being delayed by an hour wemissed eve meal but was given a picnic & pop to eat & drink. Went to bar on all inclusive had couple of cocktails then retired as knackered with travelling. Great sleep & meals lovely plenty of choice. Beach is pebbles and was windy & very hot weather. Lovely sea views at restaurant. We got 1 ala carte meal included at Italian on site, book at reception it was large portions & lovely food & friendly staff. Help yourself to the wine & soft drinks. Billy entertainment so funny & plenty of aquafit daily, crazy golf, tennis, large outdoor chess, bingo, water polo, darts, kids/adult entertainment. Great hotel. Area has plenty of shops & restaurants

I would not come back to this place. Next time will definitely book some where else. Had all inclusive but breakfast especially every day the same thing. Not much where you can choose from. Had a broken do not disturb sign left in one of the draws Housekeeping most of the time knocking and then straightaway entering in the room First hotel where i did not had a kettle in the room ( not very nice- as i like to have coffee and enjoy the weather and view) Paid for the sea view and mostly was the pool view even though saw that they have other rooms with the proper sea view- but was still a nice view Room not very nice, wallpaper was peeled in some places from the wall Many places of the wall paper you could see small dots underneath it, hopefully is not mould Not much to do in the resort Went to the game area and most of the items were broken We tried the child carousel swallon the money then after someone else went on it started to work. The snooker tables were not working even though u put coins inside Some of the game machines like motorbikes and stuff like that were turned off meaning out of use Downstairs in the corridor they have a scale for the luggage which swallon the coin snd never worked. First holiday where i was looking forward to leave… sad Some of the good things, nice sunset, lunch and dinner most of the time you could choose from( good selection)

The Sunshine Hotel is situated about 20 or so minutes from the old town and the airport. The hotel itself is in a lovely spot by the beach with shops nearby. The room was average and some towels given were not as clean as we would've liked, but staff were attentive and helped where needed, including letting us shower after our check out in a day room. Entertainment is fun and cheesy. Good food but some reputation. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend as a base to explore Rhodes. Thank you for a lovely time.
