Stella Hotel

I have recently stayed here for a week with 2 of my sons. Hotel is in a fabulous location, very central to bars/restaurants/pools/beaches. We stayed in a 1 bes apartment which was very spacious, plenty of storage, bath with shower over, lots of hot water, gorgeous view from balcony. Effective air conditioning. There are lots of ants around pool but think this is due to the very dry summer, didn't cause a problem for us. Good prices for drinks at the bar and friendly staff.

I think its worth noting i have been to pefkos 20+ times and love the resort and stopped here 3 times previously. The time was awful, to the point we were happy to be going home. We booked a one bed apartment. The beds are very dated compared to the three over hotels in its range (Matina, Pefkos Beach and Pefki Island). The mattresses were solid the pillows were either non existent or solid. The kids shared a bed with ants with no help from the hotel staff. We were left without toilet roll. We found some of the male staff rude towards my wife and kids, the guys on the bars were lovely, non of the cleaners were greek, and the cleaning was poor. The pool wasn't cleaned like the other hotels you could not see the floor most day and on days (2 times out of 12) the chemicals burnt your eyes. The bar was good on prices very reasonable. The overall hotel experience for £2k through jet2holidays was very poor. These rooms are more two star. The €160 aircon units were both broken and didn’t operate as should. Jet2holidays and pefkos as a resort were brilliant.

Just got back from a 8 night holiday with my wife and 2 young children . We asked for a low level room due to having a 2 year old and a 6 year old we was put on the top floor of the highest block which didn’t help. We asked to be changed but was told no! Both patio doors to the balcony don’t latch so had to put furniture in the way so the kids couldn’t get out. The rooms look like they haven’t been updated since the mid 90’s and are very basic, the beds was like rock with the thinnest of pillows, We was charged for 2 aircon units which I thought was wrong as we didn’t pick the rooms ourselves but didn’t have a choice t but then the air on wasn’t even that great…. The kitchen area was not nice, we used the kettle one day and it didn’t switch off just kept on boiling which could have been dangerous. The key system is a very dated model so you can only have the electric on when your actually in the rooms, but would of been nice to have another key just to be able to come back to your room and it not being like an oven. As the air con was not great it took a good hour to even get the rooms cool. If you fancy a drink in an evening it’s a no go as there’s only a hand full of chairs and the loungers are very dated, Don’t think the rooms was cleaned very often, the cleaner just went in and made a bed sheet back up The hotel is in a great location but it needs to be brought into the 21st century with some money being spent on it! If it did it would be a great hotel

We had a one bedroom apartment which was perfect for myself, husband and 2 boys. Great location, friendly staff available day and night, cleaned regularly and great pool. We stayed for 10 nights, had a problem with an air con unit but it was solved very quickly. The two beds in the living area are very hard. The only downside was that the WiFi is not good. Our son is autistic and uses YouTube to self regulate so we burned through quite a lot of data.

Stella was ideal for our family holiday to Pefkos. One bedroom apartment with air-conditioning as the temperature soared outside. Very clean maid service every day except Sunday. Cooking facilities adequate for a light meal. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Location very central for Pefkos. Would definitely not hesitate to book again. Very friendly staff on check in as well.

What can I say about this place!! We arrived around 2am and given our key and remote for air conditioning. We were just given basic directions to our room which in the dark was hard to find. The room was very dated and in need of some TLC. Beds were comfy (the only good thing.) The room had tiny ants running around in it which when talking to other guests was the norm for here. They got everywhere apart from the beds which was a godsend. Good tip don't put your cases or bags on the floor because they get in then. Found a few on flight home in hand luggage, they had gone for the sweets in the bag. Front door had a gap in the middle panel and daylight would shine through it. Kitchen area was very basic but we didn't use it. One night the pin on the hinge for the bathroom door fell out so I had to put it back. Breakfast is awful. Very limited choice which is lukewarm when you serve yourself out of the containers. Coffee is nearly cold and tastes of cheap coffee. My advice if going B&B is to go eat at one of the pool bars nearby. Air conditioning is extra €10 a day, safe is €30 for the week and tourist tax (which can't be avoided) is €21 for 7 nights. If you have kids and they.love cats then there is couple of family of kittens living there who are very friendly and always come and say hello. In fact they were the highlight of the stay.

My husband and I had a lovely holiday here in June 2024. The Stella was quite good value for money. Basic and a little dated but clean and functional. Large pool area with lots of space and no problem getting a lounger. Few issues with air-con but the staff did resolve this eventually with input from our Jet2 rep. Customers seem to prefer the blocks located closer to the pool. We were block 2 which was close to entrance / reception and the pool and had nice sea views from the balcony.

We have just returned from an 11 day stay here. We arrived at 1.30am & the staff were present & checking in was easy & quick. Our room was in block 4, overlooking the pool with amazing views over the sea. The room was a good size with a bedroom, shower room & living room with two single beds & two good sized balconies. There was a fridge, kettle & toaster. The pool area was busy but there are plenty of sun beds & umbrellas. The bar staff were friendly & they served a good selection of bar snacks, sandwiches, baguettes, gyros, toasters & other snacks at reasonable prices. The beer was €4 for a large glass of draught Alpha. The location was perfect with many good restaurants & bars on our doorstep & it’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. There is a taxi rank over the road & there are bus stops in walking distance for trips to Lindos & Rhodes town. The rooms are cleaned each day & the sheets are changed. There are ants in the resort & I would imagine this being an issue for some people but our cleaner put some ant powder down & they disappeared for several days. The hotel may need to be a bit more pro-active in preventing them getting in the rooms but they were not a problem for us. We would stay here again.

Stella Hotel ? Is central in pefkos ? Great location , All staff are fantastic and we feel very comfortable there. We will return definitely. Matina in the supermarket is great to help me practice my greek, Renate is always a welcome face late at night when we arrive. Can't wait to be back
