Costa Lindia Beach

I wish I could comment on a great holiday at Costa Lindia Beach Resort, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We booked through LoveHoliday and arrived on the 3rd of September, only to be told at midnight that the resort was fully booked. We were then informed that we had been "upgraded" to a more "suitable" hotel next door. Given the late hour and the fact that we'd been traveling since 9 am, we had little choice but to accept the change. This was particularly difficult as we were traveling with a 6-month-old baby and half a dozen bags. Despite this, no assistance was offered by the hotel. Upon arriving at 'upgraded hotel', the grand lobby and helpful staff initially gave a good impression. However, we were quickly made aware that there was no 24-hour room service, a service offered at Costa Lindia. Instead, the staff provided us with ham and cheese sandwiches—far from ideal for us as vegetarians. The room we were given was dated, and we had to sleep in separate beds, but we were too tired to complain. The following morning, we headed down for breakfast, only to find a chaotic scene with guests scrambling for seats and food. The food quality was poor and certainly not what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. A quick search revealed that 'upgraded hotel' is actually a 4-star hotel, meaning we were not upgraded but downgraded. The issues didn't stop there. The constant noise from the entertainment team, the limited dining options despite the "all-inclusive" package, and the lack of concern for non-smoking areas around children all added to our dissatisfaction. This review is to warn others: do not book Costa Lindia Beach Resort. The practice of overbooking and then shuffling guests to a lower-rated hotel is unacceptable, and from what I've read, this isn't an isolated incident. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a hotel that respects its guests and delivers on its promises.

Ich weiß nicht, wo ich anfangen soll und Zimmer war voller Kakerlaken. Ganz viele Kakerlaken und das Essen immer das gleiche nichts besonderes, geschweige von Sauberkeit. Keine Spur. Wir hatten ein ganz tollen Zimmer, wo der Pool von unser Zimmer aus abging. Das war das einzige Schöne an der ganze Geschichte. Also Strand nicht sauber. Also ich kann noch ganz viel sagen, aber die Kakerlaken haben wir schon gereicht und das Essen ganz schlimm

Lovely hotel and staff were so kind and attentive. Nice little town outside the hotel as well. Tommy and his Entertainment staff were brilliant as was Maria and her catering staff. Special mention to Vassilis the Utopia bar manager who helped to make our holiday super special.

Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund mehrerer Empfehlungen gebucht und leider hat dies unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die „Übernachtungsgebühr“ ist beim Checkin in bar zu entrichten. Angeblich keine Zahlung per Karte möglich. Dies ist es sehr wohl, aber leider (aus welchen Gründen auch immer) nicht erwünscht. Positiv ist definitiv die Bauweise der Anlage zu bewerten. Diese ist wirklich sehr schön, keine hohen Gebäude. Irritierend sind leider die Laufwege - an die gewöhnt man sich im Laufe der Zeit. Das Zimmer war soweit wirklich schön, allerdings nicht sehr sauber. Überall sind Staubflusen herumgeflogen. Leider fehlt auch ein Kleiderschrank, in dem man die Kleidung unterbringen kann. Das Beistellbett (die umfunktionierte Couch) war leider so hart, dass sich darauf kaum ohne Schmerzen schlafen lies. Dies war wirklich eine Zumutung! Das Essen im Hauptrestaurant war leider nur lauwarm, wenig gewürzt und kaum abwechslungsreich. Es gab auch viel zu wenig Fisch, den wir durchaus erwartet hätten. Es gab keine Themenabende, leider. Wir hätten auch gerne mal einen Tisch in einem der Themenrestaurants (asiatisch, griechisch oder Steakhouse) gebucht, dies war allerdings ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Weder online noch an der Rezeption. Innerhalb weniger Augenblicke war sofort alles ausgebucht. Leider schmecken die Getränke teilweise sehr salzig - egal ob Wasser, Limonade oder Cocktails. Auch das Wasser aus der Leitung (Dusche, Wasserhahn) ist leicht salzig und sollte besser nicht getrunken werden. Die Säfte schmecken leider auch nicht. Alles (Saft, Wasser, Limonade, Cola etc.) wird durch eine Leitung gezapft. Leider gibt es wenige Möglichkeiten, dass Kinder im Pool spielen können. Das Wasser ist zu kalt und in den meisten Pools zu tief. Auch fehlt gänzlich eine Badeaufsicht/Bademeister, auch am Strand. Positiv zu bewerten ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals, welches stets bemüht und freundlich war. Alles in allem werden wir dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal buchen und werden dies auch nicht weiterempfehlen. Schade, wir hatten uns vor allem für diesen Preis wirklich mehr erhofft!

We booked 9 days in a swim up room in the Costa lindia beach resort. On arrival we were taken across the road to the Costa Lindia Blue Star. As soon as we put our luggage in the room were realised we were in the wrong room and in the wrong hotel. We went straight down to reception where we were told the hotel was overbooked and that we might be able to move into our original room in a few days time. Unhappy with this response we phoned our travel agent who then phoned the hotel. The hotel confirmed that we were in the wrong hotel and they would move us into the correct hotel within 48 hours. After being in limbo for 48 hours we were then told that we were not being moved as we had already received an upgrade by being in the wrong hotel. Its utter nonsense as we were put in a sub standard room and a sub standard hotel. The hotel are running a scam by advertising premium rooms on their website, taking your money and then when you arrive dumping you off wherever they feel like, hiding behind the line that they have upgraded you. We were made to feel like crazy people just by wanting the hotel and room we paid for. Do not give these people your money!!!

Das Costa Lindia Beach Resorts ist ein neu renoviertes Hotel. Die Lage ist optimal für Ausflüge. Die Bushaltestellen liegen direkt vor dem Hotel. In 20 Minuten ist man in Lindos und in 60 Minuten in Rhodos. Die Restaurants im Hotel bieten sehr gute Speisen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Man sollte sich den Wecker stellen um eine Reservierung bei den drei speziellen Restaurants zu tätigen, da diese sehr schnell ausgebucht sind. Die Bar Utopia ist sehr empfehlenswert. Sie lebt vorallem vom sehr netten Barkeeper Vasilis, Er berät einen sehr gut und macht auch Drinks, die.nicht auf der Karte stehen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit direkten Pool Zugang. Es gibt ein paar Schönheitsfehler. So fehlt bei der Dusche ein Spritzschutz. Damit ist immer der ganze Boden im Bad nass, wenn man duscht. Der Strand ist sowohl Sand wie auch Kies. Dort befinden sich einige Liegen und Sonnenschirme, die für Hotelgäste kostenlos sind.
