Rhodos Horizon Blu-Adults Only

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The most incredible thing is the breakfast selection! You can find a huge variety of bread, cheese, salad fruit. The breakfast area is big enough , you can choose the outdoor side which facing the sea view to sit. Yet, the housekeeping service can be improved. The room floor was simply cleaned and the bed was made. However, the toilet was not cleaned and the towels were not changed. Also, note that the air-conditioner is chargeable by day !

This was our second visit to this hotel. The hotel is part of the wider 'Rhodos Horizon Resort' if you would like to use their amenities then you will need to go all inclusive. The Blu hotel is kept spotlessly clean with cleaning ladies around all day. Our room was spacious, clean and overlooked the pool bar and pool. We could even see the sunset if we were in our room (88). The public areas were always tidy and inviting. We were all inclusive and so made use of all three hotels but we tended to eat mostly at the Blu. The food here was amazing, presentation was second to none and they catered for most tastes. The staff were great, helpful, friendly and always smiling, Vasilez was at the door most occasions to greet everyone and was always happy to help the other staff members if needed. There was a lovely lady called Samanthia that was always greeting people 'Kalimera' as we arrived and was usually on hand to ask any questions about the food. The cocktail bar was well stocked with most drinks available. The staff were always happy and hardworking. Stamatis was working every night that we were there and was so kind and helpful, we practiced our Greek on him and we shared stories about our countries and cultures etc. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, I joined in the Greek dancing along with many other holiday makers . 😀 There is a handy shop downstairs that sells plenty of things that you may need (we forgot toothpaste 🙄). The pool bar restaurant was fabulous, definitely worth visiting, we visited most days, the moussaka is a must. If you are all inclusive then it too is part of the deal. The atmosphere is wonderful and feels like a Greek café. I hope that this review is helpful and that if you decide to go that you too will have an amazing time.

We wouldn’t give this hotel 4 stars, probably slightly less. It was quite good but the hotel room was small and we were almost living out of suitcases. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet as we had asked. The food was always of a high standard with plenty of variety. We were disappointed that the dress code was not enforced as it stated in their hotel brochure. The public rooms were a bit shabby and needed refurbishing. The swimming pool was on the small side with not that many loungers for such a big hotel. If we would have been willing to upgrade to all-inclusive, we would have been allowed to use one of the bigger swimming pools in their other hotel next door. The hotel is conveniently situated near to the sea and we were able to walk into Rhodes Old Town. Very good accessibility to places of interest.
