When you arrive at this hotel it is absolutely stunning, we had a junior suite and it was beautiful, you can raise the blinds while in bed and look out to sea. The blocks of rooms are all 2 story and all the ground floor rooms are swim up with sun loungers on, all the other rooms have beanbags on the balcony which you can lounge on (not all balconies are in the sun, but that is luck). Because of this there is not the usual scrum for sunbeds at stupid o clock in the morning that you often get. We booked a sea view, but even if you don’t, you wouldn’t be left looking at a road, all the rooms are oriented inwards and the gardens and pools are all lovely. Cleanliness - I have to admit that as it had only been open a week when we went I expected it to be cleaner, I would have thought that while shut they would have given it a good spring clean, but the hard to reach areas in the rooms were still dirty and the beanbags on the balcony are a bit grubby. In the restaurant, the chairs and placemats are all woven and as such have had chocolate cake etc smeared into them, but in itself nothing that would ruin your holiday. After this it goes downhill, you will queue for everything, if you queue for a drink at the bar, it will probably take about 20-30 mins. If they take your order at your table you will be about an hour if it arrives at all. The restaurant is worse. My husband only got coffee 3 mornings out of 7, once he got coffee but no cup, then he got coffee and a cup but no milk. On the last day he hit the jackpot and got all 3! There are some nice touches, you can squeeze your own orange, but you guessed it, the queues are massive and it is very sticky as there is lots spilled. If you are vegetarian you may struggle. The vegetarian options run out quickly and take ages to be replenished or aren’t replenished at all. Top tip, get there early. I had cheese salad for 4 days! Also be on your guard with the labelling, a cheese and tomato tart had bacon in. The plates and glasses are often not clean, so check them. My husband is not a fussy eater, but he said the normal food wasn’t that nice, and nothing is hot, lukewarm at best. If you want a meal at the restaurants, book on the day you arrive. We ate at the Italian and even though the electric kept going off it was superb. The activities are also good, loads for the kids, but if it is something you need to book, don’t dawdle, places are released exactly 24 hours before on the app and you will need to be refreshing your screen as it is released to get a place. 1 min after, it will be fully booked. Just some general info, this place is in the middle of nowhere, so you can’t really walk from the hotel unless you want to walk along a busy road with no pavement. We went in April not realising the busses are on their winter timetable and although you could get the 8.00 bus into Lindos and the 1.00 bus back, you couldn’t really get to Rhodes, as by the time you arrive you will have to get the last bu
