Melrose Rethymno by Mage Hotels

Melrose hotel is an excellent choice. We traveled as a couple. The hotel is two minutes from the seaside promenade, beach and restaurants. At the same time, it is located in a quiet area. The rooms are very comfortable (I recommend the higher standard ones), cleaned every day. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful in every situation. After a few days, we felt taken care of like family. The breakfasts are very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves. Drink bar by the pool, fitness area and spa. The center of Rethymno is only a 20-minute walk away. We highly recommend this place.

Hotel Melrose was really amazing. The room was always clean and comfortable with everything I needed, the location close to both the sea and the town was great and the breakfast very tasty and with a great selection of food, but the very best thing was the staff. Especially the amazing ladies in the breakfast and everyone in the front desk. I enjoyed all our conversations in Greek muchly and also appreciated all the tips where to eat etc. Such helpful and nice people! This is a highly recommended hotel, well done. Greetings to everyone! Het Melrose Hotel in Rethymon is een fantastische keuze voor een ontspannen verblijf. Het hotel heeft een moderne, frisse uitstraling en de kamers zijn stijlvol en comfortabel ingericht. Het ontbijt is uitzonderlijk uitgebreid en biedt voor ieder wat wils, met verse en heerlijke lekkernijen. Het personeel is bovendien ongelooflijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam, waardoor je je direct welkom voelt. Een absolute aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar luxe en gastvrijheid!

It's a cozy and nice place to stay, nearby the beach, not far away from downtown (20 minutes walking). The ammenities were expected from a hotel that's rated as "very good" - "excellent", the internal jacuzzi is very nice (although an option to turn the "fall" off would be super appreciated), and the massage provided by the hotel's masseur was amazing! The breakfast was excellent, and one little tip for improvement would be to focus more on the Greek options. :-) Last but not least, the staff. The staff's been amazing and made our stay in Rethymno way better than it could be, with a special thanks to Nikoletta, Sofia, and Stella!

Our visit was exceptional, especially the staff made the stay a great experience for us. We felt extremely welcome. We were given a comfortable two-room suite with two bathrooms. On my husband's birthday, we found a greeting card, a cake and tableware in our room. It was unexpected and very touching. Special thanks to the staff at the front desk and breakfast, they were very helpful and friendly, we will be back.

After a very stressfull time at work, I was desperately looking for a place to relax. Here, at the Melrose hotel, I found my litte peace of heaven. Despite being fully booked it seemed so calm and peacefull here. I certainly musn't forget to mention the quit nights. For the first time on my journeys, I could sleep easely. Here I slept like a (mel) rose. The nice hotel with it's beautiful clean rooms, it's delicious food and drinks, it's swimming pool and many other facilities was just great! The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Not to forget the staf, they were all gentle, friendly and helpfull people. I came here the first time at the end of june, but when I had to leave I promised myself to come back. And so I did at the end of August. I can tell you it felt exactely the same as before. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here. Will I come back to this little peace of heaven? Definitely!! And I can advise you to do the same.

Cet hôtel est parfait pour visiter à pied la ville de Rethymno (environ 700 m du port et de la vieille ville avec ses boutiques et restaurants. L’hôtel est très propre et le personnel très sympathique est à vos petits soins. Petit déjeuner copieux et avec de très bons produits. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir lors d'un prochain séjour à Rethymno.

Our stay at Melrose (Sept. 2024) exceeded our expectations. We spent 7 days in a group of four, and were placed in ground floor rooms just next to the outdoor pool. In our rooms we were welcomed with a small bottle of local raki. The pool was clean and looked after by the ever smiling staff. Plenty of sunbeds were available to choose from. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Food choice ranging from a selection of local fish and meats to vegetarian dishes of various kinds, my personal favourite being "the trough of sugar," as we dubbed it, a cold dessert served in a glass plate. All in all, I highly recommend this place whether you're planning a family vacation or a friends' trip. Pros: food, location, staff Cons: small pool

Excellent location. I have nothing but praise for this hotel! Everything superlative!! Modern rooms / very good services / particularly kind staff. Breakfast was very good !! The bar services were exceptional!! Well prepared cocktails / very good food The swimming pool is very well maintained / also the fitness room .
