Leonidas Hotel & Apartments

A true gem with an outstanding team We had an amazing 8-day stay! We were celebrating an anniversary and were welcomed with a beautifully decorated bed, a bottle of wine and home-made cookies. The team went out of their way to show excellent customer service. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was well maintained, with very comfortable sun loungers. We tried some things from their pool menu, and it was all fresh and delicious, at a fair price. The hotel is located just a few steps from the beach, and there is a large number of restaurants. (Overall, the quality of restaurants in Rethymno is high.) We wanted to rent a car for both our arrival and departure, and the manager, Olga, organized it for us, which saved us a lot of money, and the car was conveniently delivered to the airport and the hotel, respectively. We are looking forward to coming back soon and we would definitively recommend anyone to stay at the Leonidas - we couldn't have asked for a lovelier or more relaxing, hassle-free holiday! The team really takes good care of you! We have worked and traveled all over the world, and we have rarely come across a gem such as the Leonidas. Fantastisk hotel Fantastisk hotel, rigtigt sødt personale og størrelsen på hotellet og beliggenhed var perfekt. Poolen og faciliteter skal kun deles med ca. 25 værelser, så der er en fantastisk stemning og du har stort set poolen for dig selv, også i højsæson. Det kan ikke ligge meget tættere på stranden, men er alligevel gemt godt for støjen fra strandvejen. Kunne ikke være bedre beliggenhed. Dejligt værelse med soveværelse med altan, mellemgang med køkken og adgang til toilet og en værelse med 2 enkeltstående senge med altan. Begge værelser har deres egen aircondition, som fungere godt også om natten.

We stayed here in the first week in July and received a warm, friendly, family welcome. Our room was perfect with the best shower in Crete. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the cleanliness was exceptional. Mr Leonidas was always smiling - a very special Thank You to Olga, Sophia and Agnesa for making it a special holiday for us. We spent two weeks in May at this hotel, staying in a basement apartment - one of two such accommodations - which was not in the main building but separate, with direct garden and pool access. This was the highlight of our stay. We had a very spacious room, enough for two adults and one child. A small kitchenette with a fridge, and a nice bathroom with a shower and a whirlpool were included. The hotel itself is located one-minute-walk distance to the beach and is situated quietly in a courtyard, so it is also very quiet, especially at night when the seaside road is otherwise quite noisy. The city center is only about one kilometer away, a nice 10-15 minute walk, with stores, restaurants, and many more facilities all around. The hotel is in very good condition, cleaned regularly, and is very friendly-sized, operated by a very warm-hearted and helpful staff; the reception is open 24/7. All services are of 3-star quality; you get exactly what you expect for a very competitive price. The garden and pool area is spacious, with plenty of sunbeds, food service, a pool, a children’s pool, and lots of flowers. The hotel’s cats usually sleep under the sunbeds during the daytime. Altogether, we had a very positive impression and can give a clear recommendation. To you, Olga, and the whole staff, a huge thank you and Efcharistó poli!

Το δωμάτιο σε γενικές γραμμές ήταν ικανοποιητικό. Όμως η έλλειψη ηχομόνωσης κατέστησε τη διαμονή μας δύσκολη. Πόρτες από γύρω δωμάτια, βήματα και ομιλίες μας ενοχλούσαν και πρωί και βράδυ. Τα προϊόντα περιποίησης σε τρίκλινο δωμάτιο ήταν ΕΝΑ μικροσκοπικό σαπουνάκι χεριών για δύο βράδια διαμονής και τρία επίσης μικροσκοπικά σαμπουάν. Αφού ζητήσαμε να τα ανανεώσουν, μας έκανε η κοπέλα στη reception " μα και μου" αλλά τελικά μας έδωσαν άλλα τρία. Το πρωινό πολύ απλό και ο χώρος που προσφέρεται μικρός και καθόλου προσεγμένος. Τέλος η τοποθεσία αρκετά μακριά από το κέντρο, σε ένα πολύ πολύ στενό δρομάκι, χωρίς καθόλου ορίζοντα, άρα και χωρίς καθόλου θέα.
