DO NOT STAY AT RODEWAY INN & SUITES @ 19540-A Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Manager is disrespectful, the employees couldn’t care less and would rather sit and stare at you like you’re dumb & the place is DISGUSTING. When we were checking in & seeing the first room they tried to put us in: 1. When we got there, the front desk didn’t even greet us or say hello. We had to go up to them and tell them we were checking in. 2. When they sent us to the room, the key card didn’t work. When going back to the office, the front desk employee rolled their eyes and ****** their teeth. They said the key is activated so it could just be the door being stuck but offered no assistance. We literally had to slam into the door to open it 3. After unpacking, discovered so many gross things in the room (see next points) and essentially packed everything right back up because we did not want to stay in that room. 4. There was so much mold in the shower, thick and definitely no evidence it was ever cleaned. It was along the entire perimeter or the shower. 5. Literally broken hair dryer, exposed wires, sitting right next to the sink. We didn’t even try to test it to see if it worked because we were scared of being electrocuted. 6. The fan was not working in the bathroom - makes sense why there is so much mold 7. The floor was absolutely disgusting, all the kids feet turned black after 30 minutes of walking on the floor barefoot, never have I seen my child’s feet that dirty and we sometimes go days without vacuuming or mopping. 8. Under the couch cushions were absolutely filthy AND there was a dirty used cotton swab on it. It honestly looked like no one ever picked the cushions up 9. Under the mattresses was also super dirty - there were clumps of hair and dirt - something that a vacuum would have definitely swept up 10. There was a super questionable looking white stain splashed near front door next to the gross couch 11. We are on 1st floor and the outdoor space, there were so many weeds and the grass didn’t look like it’s been cut. We later found out that there were FLEAS in the grass 12. The bathroom sink still had tooth paste stains inside 13. There was a brown splatter near the front door 14. The lamp outlets were disgusting and looked like they may have been tampered with, and we were afraid to use them 15. There were weird brown stains on the bed sheets 16. There was no latch lock from the inside of the front door, only the bolt which can be unlocked with a key The other rooms had latch locks 17. After complaining, front desk man admitted that even though he works here he wouldn’t have his family nor his kids stay here. The other front desk employee then told my sister that he doesn’t have kids but if he did, he also wouldn’t let them stay there. 18. I saw on another review someone’s card key didn’t work & the lock needed to be reset. Same happened to us. Also, carpets are so filthy the kids feet were literally black. Biggest complaint though was the same as Brent Ross’s review 3 months ago. Both nights above suite 100 ( which was 200) whoever was staying up there was up literally all night stomping so hard and loudly.. and furniture being moved all night long.. flushing toilet all night long. Huge bang noises. All night. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend staying here.
