The Mill House

A wonderful hotel and restaurant just outside Reading! Super friendly staff, amazing food and beautiful decor! We went there for a wedding, and they did not disappoint! It's a beautiful place with a lovely garden, and they can cater for so much! The food was delicious, both the wedding meal and breakfast were delightful, I can't be sure of the pricing as we were booked on a wedding package of course, but the food is great! I almost dropped it to a 4/5 based on a heating issue, apparently the heating comes on at a certain time and there was some confusion over when that was exactly. The staff were very helpful though and had plug in heaters to boost the temperature of the rooms.

Nice small , older hotel Beautiful property with a few rooms. More of a wedding venue with nice back garden and large dining room . Our room was large. Some toilet and shower issues but not a deal stopper. Spotty Wi-Fi . About 40 minutes from Heathrow. Not too much else nearby - we stayed as staging area to get into Heathrow and to avoid chain hotels. Priced appropriately in my opinion

Business stay at millhouse Hotel Great service, prompt fix on TV good rooms and good location, evening meal and breakfast superb. Definitely stay again when in location or even when working in Basingstoke.

Pleasant and very accommodating This small and friendly hotel was spotless! Stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.

2 Nights - great stay Stayed for 2 nights whilst on business in Reading. Very comfortable room, great food and staff are so friendly. I arrived late on the first night so Mark made me an off the menu snack which was very much appreciated. A big thank you to Sue - my car had a flat battery in the morning and she leant me jump leads and helped try to start my car - all sorted in the end and I'm very grateful. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent experience from start to finish . We had I think 3 show rounds into total to show family members round they were accommodating and very professional. It was a beautiful setting and perfect for our guests. We booked a package deal which suited our budget and all costs were discussed. They also gave us step by step of instructions from dealing with the registrars to pointers right up until the wedding. We had a pre tasting menu which we enjoyed but we chose to upgrade to have the. beef wellington and it did not disappoint everyone complimented the meal and not a single empty plate . They are amazing with contact and I felt I could phone or email with any questions. We got to leave our preparations there before and cars so there was no stress on the day . On the day it was perfect, everything was set up on time , Kim was very accommodating and the rooms were ready on time . All rooms were perfect, clean and spacious. Chris looked after us for the day and we clear instructions so we did not need to worry. The timings were perfect, service was intimate and perfect, amazing grounds with perfect lighting , perfect for photos . The meal was delicious, service was above and beyond and great service to all tables . The staff were amazing! I definitely recommend this place , love it !! Massive thank you to Emma , Kim and Chris and the everyone who looked after us over the part year . A dream come true!
