The Balkan Jewel Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The appartment was clean and big enough to accomodate five people. There was a fireplace, which was really nice to have. Unfortunately, the things we didn't like were more than what we liked: during the whole stay (8 days) the towels where changed only once and after our requeste; the air in the SPA center was cold, the there were three saunas, but only one was working; the water in the swimming pool was very cloudy and I didn't let my kids in it (it was like that during the whole stay). The food in the restaurant was OK, but almost the same every day and not much choice. For breakfast there was a local dish called banitsa, which is really good pastry, when it is freshly baked and homemade, but unfortunately the one in the restaurant was from the frozen one sold in the shops (equivalent of the frozen pizza). As a whole I wouldn't recommend it as the cost was not cheap, but the quality of the service was not what you would expect.

This is not a 4 star. Staff are uninterested in doing anything. Waited 4 days for handwash bottle to be replaced. No room amenities. Bathrooms old and run down with wires showing. Food pretty poor especially fkr vegetarian. Meat often was undercooked. Pool aree dirty and run down.

Rooms very cold even with heating to the max. Had to ordered wood for the fireplace but it was too late. The next day we burned it and it was warm only while the fire was on. We checked the menu in the room and it said wood for 20lv, but when we went to order it they said it was 25lv. They were not aware of the menu in the room and ended up letting us pay 20lv. Unfriendly staff. Jacuzzi dirty and steam room way too hot, I burned my face while going in (not my first time in a steam room and it's never that hot). Not enough parking. Bed unconformable. The room besides that was nice and clean and the view was nice. I wouldn't come back.

03/01/2025 -06/01/2025. Συμμετοχή με Έλληνες συνταξιδιώτες από Αθήνα με ένα ταξιδιωτικό γραφείο Αθηνών. Θα περιοριστώ στην περιγραφή όσον αφορά το εν λόγο ξενοδοχείο. Η εξυπηρέτηση στην υποδοχή ήταν άμεση. Τα δωμάτια, κλινοσκεπάσματα, πετσέτες πεντακάθαρα. Οι μπουφέδες πρωί και βράδυ με ποικιλία, καθαρά, και ζεστά όσα έπρεπε να είναι ζεστά για φάγωμα. Το SPA με θερμαινόμενη μικρή πισίνα, σουηδική σάουνα και χαμάμ. Είχε μόνον μία μασέρ με αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορούν όλοι να απολαύσουν ένα μασάζ. Εγώ ήμουν από τους τυχερούς που κατάφερα παραμονές το βράδυ πριν φύγουμε να χαλαρώσω ελαφρός. Το έκλεισα με το που φτάσαμε διότι μου είχαν πει από Ελλάδα, όταν τους πείρα, πως η μασέρ δεν θα μπορούσε για δύο ημέρες να εργαστεί. Αλλά ούτε και της επόμενες δύο δεν θα μπορούσε οπότε έγινε στης 5/1/2025 ώρα 19.οο. μμ. Η θεραπεύτρια είχε πολύ καλές γνώσεις χαλαρωτικού μασάζ μόνον που είχε στεντόρα φωνή και νεύρικες κινήσεις όταν μίλαγε "ελάχιστες φορές ευτυχώς.¨ που δεν σε άφηναν να απολαύσεις την θεραπεία. Επίσης ήθελα να ήξερα τι τα θέλετε τόσα πολλά εκτυφλωτικά σποτάκια και μάλιστα χωρίς ντίμερ-dimmer μέσα σε ένα μικρό θεραπευτικό δωμάτιο. Να λάβετε υπόψιν σας πως όταν γυρνάει ανάσκελα ο πελάτης τυφλώνετε από το έντονο φωτισμό και χάνει την χαλάρωσή του. Ζήτησα καλυπτική μάσκα ματιών που δεν υπήρχε. Τότε ζήτησα να μου βάλει μία πετσέτα στα μάτια όπως κι έκανε. Το πηγαίo χαμόγελό της το είδα όταν της έδωσα το TIP. Θα ήταν πιο επαγγελματικό εκ μέρους της να έχει αυτό το χαμόγελο από την αρχή ως το τέλος της θεραπείας και να μιλάει πιο σιγά και ήρεμα. Το λάδι που χρησιμοποίησε ήταν άριστο ποιοτικός όμως δεν ήξερε να μου πει τι λάδι ήταν !! Για να πας/γυρίσεις από το SPA πρέπει να διασχίσεις τον κήπο .Άβολο- αδιανόητο σε κακοκαιρία. Καθαριότητα μέτρια. Το SPA δεν θα το συνιστούσα για αυτούς που θέλουν διακοπές χαλάρωσης. Καλών θα ήταν όλο το προσωπικό να μιλάει τουλάχιστον Αγγλικά. Είχαμε δυσκολία στην επικοινωνία αρκετές φορές. Καμαριέρες, οδηγούς. Εξαιρουμένου τους επαγγελματίες στην υποδοχή. Καλό 2025 με την ελπίδα βελτιώσεων.

Worst hotel experience ever! This hotel deserves zero stars. From the moment we arrived, the service was atrocious. The head waiter was incredibly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. He treated us like an inconvenience and made us feel unwelcome. The food was equally disappointing. It was bland, poorly prepared, and lacked any flavor. The cleanliness of the hotel was also subpar. Our room was dusty, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, and the overall hygiene standards were questionable. The service throughout the hotel was consistently terrible. Staff were unhelpful, slow to respond, and seemed uninterested in providing any kind of assistance. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

Very average hotel. Visited a few years ago so thought we'd try again to give it a second chance. Very average customer service, front entrance and pavements are left icy and untreated so very dangerous for older people. Reception area is quite clinical and unwelcoming. It's quite basic, no real bar or option to chill out set up - felt that the restaurant was 'closed' during the day and unwelcoming - no comfy sofas or advertisement that you could buy coffee/snacks - really missing a trick here!.. As the hotel opposite the Cornelia does this brilliantly!... Small indoor pool that gets very crowded. Small gym, fairly good tennis table, pool for teenage kids. Never saw the spa/massage rooms in use ever!. A big hotel, we felt they could improve on the 'customer experience' hugely - we felt pushed into having a 'buffet' style meal on our first evening at 40lv pp which we felt was expensive given the quality of the food was basic. We asked if the A La Carte was available but they weren't keen to offer us this option and we had no alternative. As last time, the serving staff wear their own clothes, often jeans. hoodies so you are unsure who works there and who doesn't!.. there doesn't appear to be a bar at all or drinks menu so you have to enquire. Perhaps they rely on local bulgarian's visiting year on year - but this won't pull in other nationalities. On a more positive note, we had a roomy two bedroom apartment overlooking the rear of the hotel, with a lovely view of the mountains. The minibus service runs in the morning hourly to/from Bansko and is reliable.
