La Dolce Vita Ravello - Apartment with Balcony & Amazing View of the Amalfi Coast

We booked more than three months in advance and were told by phone that we would have two apartments next to each other. We were not newcomers to Ravello and had stayed in a lovely b&b next door previously. Madalina, the manager, promised two full bedrooms, a living room, and a terrace. We were asked to pay in full thirty days in advance, but after only a week Madalina phoned us to ask where the money was. We were surprised, but paid. When we arrived, we were given an apartment that had no living room or terrace and which had as a second bedroom a windowless space with a narrow sleeper sofa, which was not shown on the website. The adjacent apartment, with one bedroom, a living room and a terrace, had been rented to someone else, despite our understanding that it would be for us. This was the first night of our trip and we were upset and disappointed. The receptionist telephoned Madalina for us; she was extremely rude, saying that if we didn’t like it, we were free to leave. When we arrived the receptionist told us we would be getting a full fresh breakfast, but that offer was withdrawn by Madalina and we were left a basket of dry cookies and crackers. Madalina, a non-Italian who speaks English, berated two of our group in successive phone calls, including the person who had made the reservation. Eventually she offered another room, which was up three flights of stairs with no outside space. We refused. They also offered a terrace which was down another flight of steps (we had climbed close to fifty steps to get where we were). Wifi was non-existent in the sleeping areas and the only common space was a narrow “kitchen” where it was almost impossible for four people to sit at the table. The positives? A well-finished space with nice bathrooms. A beautiful view if only we had been able to enjoy it.

Vamos a ver, reservamos con mucha anticipacion en un lugar idilico como Ravello un departamento con una ubicacion prometedora, virtualmente colgando sobre la cosa Amalfitana, llegamos, el departamenteo era lo esperado y la vista maravillosa, nos costo encontrarlo, tuvimos que llamar a Madalina (la propietaria) ,para que nos indique el lugar, y, como no la veriamos al dia siguiente le pagamos el saldo, la cosa es que la señora dejo los dos aires acondicionados funcionando en modo calor, ya que hacia muchisimo frio y se fue, nosotros mientras nos ubicabamos en el cuarto sentiamos cada vez mas frio, certificado con nuestro termometro que no para ba de bajar, dos horas despues y al llegar a 12 grados dentro del cuarto decidimos irnos, ya que para nostros es imposible dormir con niños en ese clima, nos quedaban bastantes dias de viaje y no queriamos enfermarnos, asi que nos trasladamos a pompeya , donde iriamos al dia siguiente, para buscar un hotel, ergo, nos quedamos sin amanecer en ravello y todo loq ue hariamos en la mañana siguiente, hasta aqui es solo algo que puede eventualmente pasar, pero lo que mas nos molesto es que nunca tuvimos comunicacion por parte de Madalina para ver que habia pasado, y deberia darse cuenta ya que no usamos la habitacion y quedo tal como la habia entregado, esperabamos que nos ofreciese devolvernos nuestro dienro pero no sucedio, por eso consideramos que el servicio es pesimo, y a pesar de tener un a ubicacion maravillosa no volveriamos ni lo recomendariamos.

Excellent stay at la Dolce Vita! Very clean, well situated appartement that is fully stocked. Most importantly, the view is unreal and makes it all worth it! In addition, there is fantastic service from the team always available to help out.

Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare a "La dolce vita di Ravello" e non posso che elogiare questa straordinaria esperienza. Fin dal primo istante, l'accoglienza è stata calorosa e impeccabile. La posizione è semplicemente perfetta: immersa nel cuore della splendida costiera amalfitana, offre panorami mozzafiato che sembrano usciti da una cartolina. La struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli, con ambienti eleganti e confortevoli che trasmettono un senso di relax assoluto. La qualità del servizio è eccellente, con personale sempre disponibile e attento a ogni esigenza.

Amazing views! Great customer service!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questa struttura la scorsa settimana, apprezzandone in pieno la comodità e la vista meravigliosa. La camera era ampia e dotata di tutti i confort, anche per un soggiorno medio lungo (cucinino con forno a microonde bollitore e macchinettà del caffè a cialde, lavatrice, asse da stiro, stendino); piccolo neo: il letto matrimoniale aveva due materassi singoli, cosa che io e la mia compagna apprezziamo poco. Abbiamo molto apprezzato l'ampia varietà offerta agli ospiti di ottimi prodotti da bagno disponibili ed il vassoio con prodotti gastronomici vari (un pacco di pasta, una bottiglia di passata di pomodoro, una bottiglietta di limoncello, diverse cialde per il caffè e bustine per tè ed infusi vari, fette biscottate e biscotti). La camera dispone di due balconi, uno più grande ed uno più piccolo, con una vista meravigliosa, peccato non averli potuti sfruttare per un bell'apertivo al tramonto perchè la sera la temperatura rinfrescava. il gestore della struttura, Guido, si è dimostrato cortese, professionale e disponibile.
