To start, the room was a letdown. It was dark, musty, and didn’t feel comfortable at all. There were issues with the bathroom too, it smelled bad, and the shower barely worked. The water pressure was terrible, and the temperature kept changing unexpectedly, which made it impossible to take a decent shower. The biggest problem, though, was the billing. I was charged double what was agreed upon when I made the reservation. I showed them the confirmation, but the staff insisted they hadn’t charged me during booking. Despite explaining the situation and asking for a refund, they refused to do anything about it. It felt like they were just trying to get away with it, and that was incredibly frustrating. I also noticed that the staffs in the restaurant were working very long hours, which made me feel bad for them. It was clear they were overworked and exhausted, but unfortunately, that didn’t translate into better service. They were often tired but they tried their best and kept their smile, and I couldn’t help but feel like they were doing the bare minimum. Meals were another disappointment. They took forever to arrive, and when they did, the food was bland and unappetizing. I’d hoped for something more flavorful, but everything felt really basic. We also took a village tour, but it felt rushed, and the guide didn’t seem prepared or knowledgeable, which was a letdown. My experience at the lodge was really disappointing. Between the unfair billing, uncomfortable room, and poor service, it was hard to feel relaxed or enjoy the stay. I would definitely recommend looking for other options in the area. There are plenty of places that offer better value and hospitality. Unfortunately, this one didn’t live up to expectations.
