It’s rare to find a hotel that provides everything you need, in a quiet but professional way, and at the same time having great views and wonderful staff. Albion House has it all and more. This hotel is a gem. From check in to check out the service is impeccable, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds and pillows are wonderfully comfy and the staff are attentive and thoughtful. A big thank you to Dasha Tara and Liam and a special thanks to Nik who went the extra mile for us. You are all so appreciated.

Absolutely terrible behaviour of male waiter with bleached hair name calling and calling me the most below the belt names, totally unacceptable and totally disproportionate to the situation I was being accused wrongly of by the taller co-manager , a tall and very arrogant and condescending man. This tall waiter/co-manager had been rude to me and a friend on the 3rd January and I stood up to him after he treated me and my friend like scum after I had been going there regularly over Xmas. He had treated us like we weren’t worthy of respect and was rude and obnoxious, looking down on us and thinking he could get away with his condescending behaviour. I pulled him up on it on the 3rd. And then went back in on 5th. Today, in my own, I walked in and it was empty in there. I asked if they were still serving roasts and they said yes and to sit where I liked. When the bleached hair waiter came over I said I just wanted a roast and that if all they had was the wellington that contained mushroom, which I’m allergic to, I’d have it but ideally it would be great if they made nut roasts. But as wellington was only roast I could eat then that’s what I’d have. He pointed to another ‘vegetarian’ meal which wasn’t a roast and contained Parmesan. I told him that’s not vegetarian because of the animal rennet in it but that the roast would be only thing I could have. Mentioning the nut roast was just making casual conversation and just something for him to possibly take heed of. There was no hostility from my side. When he walked off I saw there was sides of cauliflower cheese and so I asked a waitress nearby who was making up tables, if she could let me know if this was vegetarian cheese. I didn’t see her walk off anyway, I just saw the tall male who had been rude to me and my friend on 3rd come walking up to my table. He did that kind of ‘is there a problem’ kind of opening to me. I said I was just wanting to know about the cheese because I wanted to order a side to go with my roast. He very sharply and rudely said the cheese wasn’t vegetarian. I have this happen all the time. Chefs and staff not understanding about vegetarian rennet and they mistaking my question for vegan and I always have to explain myself a few times before I get the correct answer. Catering packs of cheddar are almost always vegetarian rennet and I’ve already so many times had The chefs not even read of see or know that the cheddar they are using is vegetarian. So I asked this tall co-manager wait again was he sure because so often the cheese is suitable for me, I was just reassuring myself by asking. He then very coldly and nastily told me he thought it was better that I left. I said what was he talking about? That he can’t just get rid of me because im vegetarian and needing to ask questions. He then got another member of staff to come and tell me to leave for ‘being rude to 3 members of staff.’ I hadnt, tgif wasn’t true, so I questioned her saying if you want
