The genesis of Shilhandara took the same course as all the other themed properties of Rashi Eco Tourism have. Most of the brewing happened a million years ago, since the days of magma, to the centuries of weathering to create the perfect crevices and boulders. The wind, the rains and the climate have architectured the terrain. And then was the moving era of the empires, with the stone art and their idiom-like sculptures. From the times of the Hoysalas, the Vijayanagaras, the Chola and the Chalukyas, we seek to forge a days experience. Knowing well to meld the adrenaline surge and the reverential ambience we stand to bring out the unique theme. Our property houses an elegant 800 foot monolith, housing most of the adventure sports and some of the most serene sunset landscapes. Our list begins with one of the countries longest ziplines and moves on to include paintball, ATVs and a blazing list of activities. The very little we have done to alter the natural scape is planting over 15000 trees. Cooling the soil down, it has called back many a birds, those native and new to Ramanagara. The Candid outdoor pool infront of ancient looking bath mantaps, is hoped to rob you off of your stress. Shilhaandara Resort is a very unique property. The Resort being very close to Bangalore or Bengaluru host a bunch of adventure activities like paintball, zipline, other rope activites etc. Shilhaandara Resort has been review to be one of the best resorts in Bengaluru or Bangalore. Being one of the first properties of Rashi Eco Toursim Ltd. It was definitely a good stay. Great ambience. Surrounding was calm and quiet. You can definitely spend a leisure time with friends and family. Food was excellent. Breakfast, lunch , dinner all the buffet are great and delicious. Highly recommendable if you just want a chill and lazy day.

The pool rooms are great, more so if u have a kid these rooms are a great option to have. Activities were good, lot of walking up and down the mountains. Overall a great stay for ppl looking forward for a stay-active trip.

Jaccuzi was not maintained properly, washroom mats were not there, only food was good, dint get the luxury we paid for the price.

Rooms are untidy, In the washroom towels were not kept and Tv was not working. Before allotting the room they had to ensure the basics are available

Rooms design was okay but room service is pathetic.. minor requests are turned down. Staff is unwelcoming. Particularly the person at the outer reception. Staff not empathetic to guests.. they act like a cheap lodge , untrained and have a stinking attitude. Food is average , below avg quality ,tastes like local food stall. Linen was stained. Below par cleanliness.. activities are old fashioned and boring..i had to walk the length and breadth of the resort to get a bat caz someone was on lunch .

Amazing! the place was very calm and beautiful. Lots of facilities and plenty of activities to do for the entire day. Rooms are good with private pool. The staff were all friendly and supportive. The check-in and check-out was also very quick. Definitely a place to go over the weekend.

Had a great time at Shilaandhara. We had booked a one night stay at the end of the stay we felt we should have stayed for a day or 2 more. The best thing I liked about this place was the spacious kids pool. Other resorts or hotels we have seen so far have had small kiddy pool but here the kiddy pool was huge and as big as the adult pool.
the room were simple but spacious and neat.
The room service may it be for food or hair dryer was delivered really quick.
We never had any problems with security. There was always resort staff seen throughout the resort.
cons:
it is supposed to be a eco tourism resort yet they serve tea in disposable tea cups that are harmful to the environment.
We requested for a hair dryer and the dryer given to us was in the worst condition and cheap quality. The whole thing was wrapped in insulated tape.
advise:
Since there is heavy crowd in the dining area due to day out package there should be a different dining area or restaurant for those guests who have opted for stay.
The room bathrooms should be maintained and checked more regularly. Our room sink was leaking and had slow drainage. The soap holder was broken.
Since this is a premium resort and with us paying 5k per room for a night we would expect better amenities in the room...
like 2 hand towels ***** with the 2 bath towels provided and better quality pillows. The pillows provided were clumpy and the cushions were dusty.
