St. Helens South

We stay here when we come to visit family. We stayed in a family room with a king size and 2 pull outs. They are comfortable for pull out beds. The staff are always helpful. Lovely and clean and close the everything. We recommend staying here Only downside is the pub has closed but I believe it is open at the moment for hotel stayers, but you may have to check this

Stayed for 2 nights in between Christmas and new year. Stayed in a family room which was very comfortable beds ( pull out singles for the kids) very clean with fresh linen. Bathroom clean, Kettle in room, with hand wash and shower gel. Staff always friendly on reception. The pub next door seems to have half closed and are open for the people in the hotel - you would have to check if you need to pre book, which is a shame because the pub was decent. Great stay and would definitely stay again

Stayed at the hotel with family had a really good experience room was very clean good shower bed and pillows very comfortable we had breakfast in the morning Charlie was a lovely person couldn’t do enough for us lovely food very fresh and hot would recommend to friends and family to stay

The staff and hotel room was very nice, Staff was lovely and the food over at the restaurant was very good, I had a lasagna with chips and it was very well cooked and seasoned perfectly. Joked around with the staff and they were very friendly! I recommend coming here if you are staying close by

I was told to book Premier Hotel because you know what you get so, I booked do. Double room with shower. Front looks like pictures, We had been informed about Restaurant having refurbishment. Not true, it's closed apart from people using Premier Inn as it's not making money. Staff friendly and helpful but are working between hotel and restaurant. The hotel has a damp smell. The room looks okay, but the shower is over bath. Spoke to staff, and they informed me all rooms are the same even the assessable room for wheel chair users. Thankfully, I had only booked one night. Been tried will not use again. I like not only room but to be clean myself.

We recently visited the St Helens South Premier Inn and I was shocked by how awful it was. I default to a Premier Inn when travelling for a night or two in the UK because you know what you’re getting and it’s usually value for money. This hotel is completely different though. It’s poorly maintained, as shown by some of the photos I included, and really needs to be closed or fully refurbished. The staff are lovely and the food in the restaurant was actually really nice. However, my room was terrible and definitely not worth the price. There was a strong smell of urine in the bathroom and black mould. Paint is coming off the walls and the towels had holes in them. I’ll keep using other hotels but this one really risks harming the brand. Definitely don’t recommend.
