Kinde House

Kinde house is a hidden gem. It is a must stay if/when you are in Quito. The Kinde House is a perfect place to stay in Quito while you explore this beautiful city. It is in an excellent neighborhood location. Easy walking access to the historical center, metro, parks, and good local restaurants . The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. After returning from the Galapagos I stayed 2 nights before traveling to the Amazon jungle area. I let the Kinde house know I did not need the sheets change but they are so conscience they cleaned the sheets, and the rest of the room anyway. I was also able to leave any luggage I did not need in the Amazon right on my room. Eduardo will get you checked in, settled, and provides engaging conversation and promptly responses to any questions you may have about your Quito stay or any other places in the country. He was born and raised in Quito and knows the city and local surroundings well. His guidance is great. The breakfast is superb and includes tea/coffee, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, breads, and eggs cooked to order. There is a roof top deck with an incredible view of the city. A view not to be missed. They also offer laundry service for a very reasonable price. If I have the fortune to be back in Quito, this will be my go-to place to stay. On this trip, I stayed a total of 11(non-consecutive) days. Each time I returned to Quito it was like coming home when I arrived at Kinde house. Treat yourself and make this your place to stay.

We had a wonderful experience at Kinde House. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible. Eduardo, always went the extra mile with advice, services, and his affable way. Kinde House allowed use to check in well before check in time and provided breakfast. They also allowed us to leave our luggage when we traveled to Mindo. Eduardo even gave us a night time tour of the city after picking us up at the airport. Kinde House fully deserves the 5 star raining!

Kinde House es una casona antigua de tres pisos con una terraza espectacular. Nuestra habitación era muy cómoda, al igual que el baño con una gran ducha caliente. La cama, almohadas, sábanas y colchas, una suavidad y calidad inigualables. El desayuno y la amabilidad de Eduardo,el dueño, un capítulo aparte; experiencia de hotel 5 estrellas! Quito nos pareció una ciudad segura, al igual que el barrio donde está ubicado el hotel, a pocos metros del centro histórico. Recomendamos iniciar los paseos a pie, y si volvemos de noche y cansados tomar un taxi o un Uber ya que la calle tiene una linda pendiente para los que vivimos al nivel del mar. Quito es muy pintoresca, y excelente punto de partida para visitar pueblos aledaños. Nos atendieron como a reyes. Gracias Eduardo y Sra por todo!!
