We were booked into this hotel on 2 different occasions by the tour company we were travelling with. In both of the rooms we were allocated the carpets were absolutely filthy and they looked as if they had not seen a coat of paint on the walls in years. The in room safes didn't work, the bathrooms had mould around the shower tray and in the grout around the tiles. Both rooms were noisy even with the windows closed and curtains drawn you could hear the traffic from the nearby road, we also had a burglar alarm go off at 0530 one morning. When we asked the girl on the front desk if she could recommend a restaurant close to the hotel for an evening meal she was clueless. I asked for a glass of white wine from the bar to be told I could only have red wine by the glass and if I wanted white wine I would have to buy a bottle, ridiculous! If it had been my choice I would not have select this hotel.

Staff was very attentive. Rooms are clean. The hot water is not possible. The water was usually just warm enough to get in and out.

3 star hotel. Pretty hotel decor. Staff polite. Room comfortable .Breakfast was ok, as you were served. On Sunday it was much better as it was a self service buffet with a lot more choice. Lack of information at check in. I had to ask for breakfast timing, and the staff gave me different timings to that which I eventually found in the room on the bedside table. I did not see evidence of the restaurant in action apart from at breakfast. In the evenings it was in darkness. I did not look to see if the bar was open. Website says check in anytime, but the front desk sign says 2pm

Great staff! Absolutely superb personalized service from all staff. Hotel itself is designed for different experience with design & ambience, so achieves that goal well. Street noise & other sounds are present in comparative nature to most centralized areas.

This is an excellent hotel that is quiet and conveniently located. The staff are incredibly helpful and always ready to assist. The breakfast is delicious, making it a wonderful place to stay. I stayed for seven days and it almost felt like I was at home away from home. The shower has good water pressure and is very refreshing.

I stayed at Eugenia Hotel several times during my two-month trip to Ecuador and I highly recommend it. The hotel has old world charm and has been renovated so it is very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. They helped me with taxis, arranged an airport shuttle, stored my luggage for free, and helped me with tourist information and recommendations. The front desk is staffed 24/7 which made me feel safe and was great when I needed some early morning taxis. The hotel provides free breakfast with eggs, croissants, fruit, juice, and coffee or tea in their beautiful and sunny dining room. One day I had an early tour and they made me a breakfast to go. I liked the location. Quito is a big city with some sketchy areas. This area felt relatively safe and calm. There are a number of good restaurants within a two-block radius and a supermarket a block and a half away. I was traveling solo and felt comfortable going out to eat at night. There's also a nice museum nearby.
