Watch out warning.... emailed 4 days before we were to arrive due to the unexpected passing of a loved family member...I was threatened over the phone wanting full amount of money to be paid as well as threatened with the tribunal. Watch out phone number ringing me was also under a different number not Queenstown Gate way apartments! 17.09.2024

Terrible stay, staff incredibly difficult to deal with as they never answered the phone and are not on site so frustrating when you want to check in. For the cost of accommodation I felt it was a bit worn out and as if it had not been maintained. No TV remote and cleaning very basic. Would not recommend this place.

We booked at the end of December 2023 for a stay in early March. Just before we were due to fly in, we received an email advising our credit card was invalid which it was not. No response from them after several phone calls, emails. Events in QT=more $$.

Like others have said. I had a booking cancelled at the last minute. This was meant to be my last night with my son before he flew back to Perth and instead we had to drive through from Dunedin the morning of his flight because they cancelled my booking with a bs excuse about a credit card that had 10x the amount needed available on it. I then saw the room readvertised for twice the price. They will not answer their phone or reply to emails. I am beyond angry.

I recently stayed at the Queenstown Gateway Motel for a weekend gateway The motel's location is pretty handy around the city center. The room, though modestly sized, was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and accommodating, addressing my concerns promptly. I would consider staying here again for my next visit and I highly received this place to my friends and family.

It was supposedly a happy weekend in Queenstown, but it turned out to be the worst experience on vacation. The room was unpleasant, extremely dirty, mouldy, and very stinky. What's unacceptable is that the apartment manager was very rude, not helpful, and gave us a very hard time with our stuff left in the apartment. This place is poorly managed and seriously needs to assess options for improving general cleanliness and management change.

DON’T GET SCAMMED! AVOID THIS ACCOMMODATION. The whole unit where we stayed was so stinky and smelled like a strong body odour. The bathroom was disgusting; walls were stained with dirt, the curtains and carpet were filthy, and the cutlery was not washed properly. The lady at the reception was very dishonest, and unbelievably rude. She got furious when I asked for a receipt from the courier that she could not produce because she overpriced it and redirected the parcel with my left-over stuff back to them, and she wants me to pick up my stuff personally. A typical move from a shameless scammer. What an inconvenience on my part since I am 500 kms. away from Queenstown. I also paid for their time to send my stuff. I received several very rude and unprofessional email messages from her as well. She intentionally hung up the phone on me 3x. She does not want to get my address over the phone because she said they are very busy. So far, the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in.

The instructions for access to our apartment on late arrival were as expected. The missing light bulbs in bed lamps were replaced as requested. The apartment needs to be removed from the available list for general maintenance including broken TV's, leds unable to be read on remotes, broken shower head, poor presentation of bathroom and torn drapes.
