Such a lovely place to stay, room was spotless and quiet for a good rest. The hotel backs onto the creek with a deck and mooring out the back and I can see that it's a lovely place to relax in the warmer months. Food was super and the team super helpful even when I was arriving late on a Sunday. I'll be back in the future

The Queen Philippa never disappoints. The staff are personable and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped for a pleasant night stay. The small car park does not take many cars, but there is plenty of space in the car park opposite the hotel. The breakfast is excellent and plentyful. Would thoroughly recommend and would not stay anywhere else when visiting the area.

What a gem!! From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were made to feel welcome by all of the staff and management that we met. Our room was spotless and well equipped with an iron/board, safe, hairdryer and well stocked tea tray. We particularly liked our proximity to the lovely outside area, with ample seating and atmospheric views. We ate in the bistro at night and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My skate was cooked to perfection. The breakfast certainly didn't disappoint. Freshly cooked, good choice and a welcome change from cold buffet breakfasts. We were all struck by the friendliness of the team and the family atmosphere. Certainly a place we want to revisit.

This was the first time we stayed and we highly recommend it. We had a lovely quiet room overlooking the creek. Housekeeping standards are very high with water, tea , coffee and toiletries replenished daily. Breakfast and Evening meals were excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We hope to return soon.

I cannot believe all previous reviews. Our visit was very below standard. The room was what they called a Garden Room a very small room built to the side of main building right by the outside seating and smoking area. We could not close the window either. The room was really small as for the wet room bathroom which actually lived up to its name, once you shower the badly laid floor ensured it stayed wet and not drain away. They had left a rubber type broom for you to try and sort it out for yourself but no matter how hard you try it still had puddles. The breakfast, which they ask you to pre order, to ensure really fresh, was was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in a b&b, we ordered the “Large Breakfast” only one bacon and one sausages is not large, but the cooking was the problem the sausage was so burnt it was closer to charcoal, the hash brown was also so over cooked like a crisp bread, the poached eggs also over cooked and solid and unbuttered toast inedible. As for the photos on website nothing like our experience even the biscuits in the room are just cheap Biscoff not the nice cookies they show.

The B&B looked like the nicest in the area I chose to come here because it is nearer to home and less noisy than some coastal places. When I arrived they told me the breakfast times and gave me a code to get into the door if I am out late at night. My room was very clean and had a working air conditioning unit and a TV. The kettle needed switching off at the socket as between uses it kept making a noise that was annoying. I chose to eat here two nights in three and had the big breakfast every morning. The lighting in the room in the evenings was a little harsh for my eyes and really good that I have brought sunglasses. If it was not for my eye mask also the light coming under the door into the corridor in the night would have annoyed me. The curtains were nice and heavy though so not much light came in. The meal service was not as efficient as expected. The chef kept arriving late and I was never asked about my allergy or intolerance until after they expected me to select from the menu which was just left at my table. When asking for a drinks menu, they said they didn’t have one. There were signs saying stuff like cash is king which I disagreed with. I’d rather pay them their card fees than carry cash. Cash to me is not king! It’s heavy, cannot secure it if stolen and can’t pay any amount using credit. When it’s gone, it’s gone. More pros than cons though, because the cons I have managed to mitigate by myself.

We have had reason to frequent the queen phillipa on several occasion recently and whilst we did not stay there (we live local) we have used all of the other facilities available.The food is amazing and very reasonably priced, the staff cannot do enough for you especially Donna who seemed to turn her hand to anything and everything she was a true asset to an amazing team,furthermore we could not recommend chartering the queen phillipa boat we enjoyed 3 hours sailing with the skipper who could not be more obliging,well done you guys for getting it so right Regards Fabio and Lyndsay Chiellini
