Achilles Hill Hotel Methoni Peloponnese Greece We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights as part of a vacation package with Jet 2. The hotel has the WOW factor for sure as the views across towards the sea from both the rooms and the pool terrace are just out of this world and have to be seen to be believed. The hotel is elevated as it is built on the side of a hill facing southwest (more of that in a while) so it has just an amazing panoramic view and sunset over towards the ancient Venetian built castle complex on the peninsula The saltwater swimming pool is a large 25 meters+ infinity pool at all one depth of 1.4 meters that makes it ideal for swimming lengths of just cooling off and enjoying yourself in the water. Our room on the lower ground floor was garden level. It was large and spacious and fully equipped with a kettle and tea and coffee provided and the room also included a small refrigerator. The bed was super king and amazingly comfortable. The on-suite bathroom was a good size with a really good walk-in shower with plenty of high-pressure hot water. Shower gel and shampoo are provided and the towels can be changed daily. Although the hotel was busy with guests it was generally very quiet with no annoying or disturbing noises by day or night. The communal areas are very modern and contemporary. The pool terrace and restaurant bar are the main focus of activity and they are also very spacious with plenty of sun beds around the pool. The to-order food menu is limited more to snacks and café food but well cooked and presented the menu is served until 20:00h but no dinner menu service is offered. The breakfast is also served here but to be honest, the breakfast is not the best, it has a very limited choice of bread, jams, yoghurt, fruit and cakes. The hot offering of fried eggs, readymade omelettes, bacon and small spicy sausages were kept in hot water food servers at a very low tepid temperature. I avoided them as I like hot food to be hot! Also, toasted bread was chargeable per slice which I found unusual as it is the only hotel I’ve stayed in that makes a charge for toasting some bread for breakfast. On the more positive side, the hotel is owned and mostly staffed by family owners who are charming and a delight, they are so friendly and helpful that nothing is too much trouble, and they try their best to make your stay in their hotel extra special and relaxing. They will arrange a car hire to be delivered and collected from the hotel at a very competitive rate €50 per day for a small car including all insurances and in my opinion you are going to need a car if you are to maximise your holiday experience in Methoni we certainly did. While the hotel is absolutely beautiful and comfortable and has amazing views it is also very isolated and on its own. The hotel is about two or more kilometres or a 25/ 30 minute walk out from Methoni town where the managed beaches and dinner restaurants and bars are. Also, the access to the hotel off the main r

Loved this hotel it had everything we needed. We liked the fact that it was out of town and enjoyed walking into town everyday. The hotel was very peaceful. We ate once at the hotel which was really good. But there were loads of places on the way into Methoni and in the town itself to eat. We would Definately return.

We had a very comfortable stay Achilles Hill Hotel in July 2024. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot with good pressure and there was plenty of space for our 5 day stay. The best part though was the balcony looking down over Methoni, the castle and the sea - all the rooms have the same great uninterrupted view. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty - it didn't vary at all but there was plenty of choice to vary it yourself. The setting and ambience at breakfast was great too. We sat out by the pool for a couple of hours everyday before exploring. It was spotlessly clean, there was always plenty of sunbeds available to choose from and it had full sun all day long. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Sapienza - great local feel, no menu but really tasty food served by the family there. Methoni Campsite Restaurant - don't be put off by the name, the food was really good and fresh! We had a car and explored Pylos, Methoni and other villages in the area. Would definitely recommend getting a car if staying here to get out and about further afield. Would stay here again if we were in the area!

Visited Methoni and stayed at this hotel for two weeks. We loved every minute. The hotel room’s are cleaned daily . The outside and pool area is well maintained. The pool is fabulous. This is a very professionally run hotel that also makes you feel part of a family.

L'hotel si trova in una posizione collinare con vista mare, castello e baia di Methoni. La piscina a sfioro e la zona esterna sono la ciliegina sulla torta per una vacanza all'insegna del relax assoluto. Colazione variegata dolce e salata (quest'ultima migliorabile). Personale cortese e disponibile.

Hôtel à 5 mn du centre de Methoni Situé au dessus de la route assez bruyante Belle vue mais petit déjeuner pas terrible et chambre très basique avec salle de bain minuscule . Il faut mieux loger sur Pylos. Assez décevant malgré des avis très positifs sur TripAdvisor.
