Yesterday, I went to Suriya Resort in Kammala Waikkala, Sri Lanka, for dinner with my husband and another couple, who are our best family friends. We ordered a variety of meals, including Carbonara, smoked chicken, bamboo goreng noodles, mullet fish plate, and a few side dishes like cashews and French fries. Since the portions were single servings, we ordered different meals for each of us. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. Despite ordering around 8:30 - 8.45 PM, it took nearly two hours to receive our meals. By 10:00 PM, we had only been served two proper meals, even during different times and the Carbonara we ordered wasn't taken into the list, which was found making the payments. The time they took to serve us was so long that we lost our appetite. Given the crowd, the staff should have coordinated with the kitchen and informed us if they were unable to fulfill our order due to high demand. This would have allowed us to opt for the buffet instead. However, they did not inform us, took our order, and made us wait endlessly. When we inquired about the long delays, they simply told us they were busy. When we complained to the manager in charge, he avoided addressing the issue and displayed an unacceptable and rude attitude. Although they gave us a discount, they never apologized for the delays. We went there to enjoy a nice meal and a pleasant evening, but thanks to the staff, it was completely ruined. We were all from Marawila and choose Suriya resort for a fine dining experience and now I don't recommend this hotel to anyone due to their poor services. Because even the manager at the restaurant reservation was not polite to talk to. Talk with such a attitude and a sarcastic way. Even when inquiring through phone. Very disappointed
