We have just spent 6 days at this hotel, and this was our second visit. If you are looking for the opportunity to connect with nature, this is the perfect spot. Their location is on the side of a mountain that overlooks the Nicoya peninsula and gulf, and offers great views of the sunset everyday, at an altitude of 700 meters. The resort is owned and operated by a German family. They are the most gracious hosts you can find, and they have a great team helping them run the hotel. They are extremely helpful and always willing to accommodate your requests. Facilities are not fancy, but they are comfortable, kept in good condition and their location is perfect for many different kinds of outdoor activities. During this last visit, we did the waterfalls tour which includes doing 25 different cable runs (canopy zip lines) and going over 11 waterfalls. A truly unique experience. The layout of the cables is perfect, going right through the forest. The longest run in this tour is about 400 meters. Another activity we did during our visit was the Superman flight. Also, a great experience. You fly over a forested area and in-between trees on a cable that is about 900 meters long. Highly recommended. The resort offers several other options for outdoor activities which you can customize to your liking, and the hotel team is also very helpful in organizing other tours outside of the resort, like a visit to the local beaches or a tour to Tortuga island or to a Cloud Forest located in one of the local preserves. Overall, this is a great place if you want to spend time in touch with nature and if you enjoy doing outdoor activities.

Hotel que cumple las necesidades La habitación muy espaciosa, con 2 baños y varias camas, las instalaciones un poco descuidadas, les falta mantenimiento, pero se entiende, porque la zona no es demasiado turística, el desayuno incluido muy bueno y la señora que nos atendió en el mismo, super amable.

Dernière escale de notre séjour pour une nuit dans ce site tenu par un couple d’allemand depuis près de 30 ans épaulés par des locaux. Avons fait les zip lin au dessus de la rivière , après une montée en camion très chaotique, on accède au site où nous attendent 18 tyroliennes et un pont , superbe activité. Restaurant avec une terrasse offrant une belle vue jusqu’à la mer et permettant d’observer de nombreux oiseaux ( colibris , toucans …). Le point négatif a été la chambre vieillotte et très humide , clim inop et ventilateur fonctionnant qu’avec la lumière .

We stayed at the property for 1 night primarily because we heard good reviews of their zip lines over waterfalls and thought it would be more convenient. Ziplines were definitely the highlight and our family really enjoyed it. The route up was quite the adventure as it was steep and very very rocky. The tour not only included ziplining but a dip in one of the pools at the base of a water fall (no towels) and a rappel down a waterfall. At the time we went was dry season so the waterfalls were not in full force but still nice. The actual hotel location is quite remote therefore if you are looking to eat your only options is to stay eat there. The rooms and facilities (I.e., pool) are quite dated and could definitely use some maintenance compared to other locations that we stayed throughout Costa Rica (I.e., lamps didn’t work or were falling apart, bunk beds were squeaky/rocky and right next to the air conditioner so didn’t feel safe having my kids sleep up there). Pictures that they use to advertise the property don’t align with current reality. The one property manager who worked during the day/night and guides who did the zipline were helpdip but found it strange that as we were one of the only families staying onsite that the owner who was around didn’t actually come to greet or smile at us. Also one night we needed to call out to a 1800 number (insurance company) because our son had an infection, but the hotel was not able to support that.
