We would like to clarify several matters regarding your stay.During your transfer, our boat experienced unforeseen mechanical issues, which are not something that can be predicted in advance. In line with strict safety protocols, the crew conducted immediate checks and, when the issue could not be resolved at sea, the boat was returned to the jetty for alternative arrangements. While this resulted in some delay, guest safety was never compromised and remains our top priority.With respect to your accommodation, your reservation was confirmed for Deluxe Rooms. Only after check-in did you inform our team of an advance RM400.00 payment for an upgrade. Unfortunately, the documentation presented was unclear, which resulted in the upgrade being applied to your friend’s room rather than yours. Despite this, our team took corrective action well beyond the original booking: two Chalet Sea View Rooms were upgraded to a Villa, and one Deluxe Room was upgraded to a Chalet Sea View at no extra charge. In addition, children’s charges were reduced to only one night instead of two night for 6 children —amounting to a significant waiver—and complimentary ATV rides were provided to all five rooms. These were goodwill gestures extended to ensure your comfort, despite the miscommunication not originating from our side.As a remote island property, limitations in internet, mobile coverage, and television signals are occasionally inevitable due to weather and location. Regarding dining, while your comments on breakfast have been noted, it is important to mention that many guests express satisfaction with our offerings. We understand that individual preferences may vary, but our team remains committed to balancing quality and variety within the logistical realities of island operations.For snorkeling, sites are always selected with safety as the foremost consideration, particularly for children and non-swimmers. On this occasion, sea conditions required the choice of a shallow site, prioritizing inclusivity and security over depth of marine visibility.Finally, for land transfers, arrangements were confirmed for eight persons in line with the number of rooms booked. The addition of six undeclared children created logistical challenges in seating allocation. Even so, our team went to considerable effort to ensure your entire group traveled together —again, as a goodwill gesture.We trust this provides clarity and also reflects the extra measures extended beyond the original booking to ensure your stay remained pleasant.Thomas PillaiResort ManagerSutera@Mantanani Resort &Spa
