Lovely hostal on Isabella Island! I've stayed at 4 hostels in the islands and this one was by far my fav. Many lacked the social aspect, but here the owners have a lovely beach bar across the road where they hosted events (game nights, trivia, etc) which was great to meet other travellers. The rooms were spacious, shower was hot, rooftop area was nice. Only 1 item I disliked - 2 of the windows in my room were just screens at the top and couldn't be closed, so you could hear all the noise from people and cars going by. Still highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of May 2025. We spent 3 nights in a room on the top floor in the building by reception. The room was spacious, we loved the entry way leading in to our room as it gave us extra storage. The bed was comfy, rooms were clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel provided soap but be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen facilities was a nice option as we had some early morning tours so having an option to buy food and store it in the fridge was a huge bonus. Our other 2 nights we stayed in the room above the bar which offered the most amazing view and having our own fridge was a huge bonus. Bed was comfy in this room too! Love that the rooms offer lots of options to hang your clothes. The location of this hotel is fantastic, it’s close to so many great places to eat and an easy couple mins to the centre of town.

The place was ok, not very clean at all. Priced high ($150/night), and value just wasn’t there. Kitchen utensils, pots and pans were dirty. Old dish sponge left behind. Bathrooms were rusty, and old, with bad quality shampoos and soap. Rain water leaks in main bedroom. Stained bed sheets and old towels. Much better hotels in Isla Isabela to get your bang for your buck.

Comfortable Isabella Reach Hostal
I really enjoyed my stay. Owner, Edith, was friendly and helpful. Room clean and everything (e.g. A/C, etc.) worked. The Bar by Beto in a beautiful beach front location. My room overlooked a pond with flamingos! I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the neighborhood was at night. I'd gladly return!

Wir hatten die Suite mit Meerblick gebucht und es war traumhaft! Die Suite befindet sich als einziges Zimmer über der Bar und hat einen Balkon. Der Ausblick ist einzigartig! Sehr nette familiengeführte Unterkunft, immer sehr hilfsbereit beim Buchen von Touren. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, vielen Dank, Monika und Daniel.

I enjoyed my stay at Hostal Galapagos on Isabela Island. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated in island-style with en-suite bathroom and even a desk (which was important, because I am working remotely). It is being cleaned every day. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with everything. They provide great information about sites to visit on the island, tours to book and called me a taxi to leave on time. I can highly recommend this accommodation on Isabela Island! :)

If you like party- that’s the place to go. If you like to sleep - don’t go. Owners are very nice though (although I prefer to sleep in the night). The name indicated it however: by the bar. So it shouldn’t be a surprise if you feel in the mids of a drunk crowd while you try to sleep

I absolutely loved my time here. It is a family run hostel and they are so incredibly nice and willing to help. They also offer tours at competitive prices and have a beachfront bar with hammocks and seating across the street that you get to use whenever you want. There’s a shared kitchen and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day. I was in a 3-bed dorm. Highly recommended!
