Marina Bayview Gran Canaria - Adults Only

Average hotel an stay... Breakfast was cold again this year, not sure why they can't keep food hot? Sunbeds are reserved despite being asked not too. Not shown to room or offered help with case Ridiculous shaped sunbeds in balcony impossible to use Will not return as they cannot get the basics right

Perfect stay! Such a great stay, this hotel feels boutique and a little haven away from puerto rico town. The views of the port are so nice, the staff are really friendly and super helpful. We didn't have any issues during our stay. A great touch is that you can use the facilities after your checkout time, and there is a courtesy room which includes a shower, toilet and changing space for you to get ready in before your flight. The location right next to the port means its super easy to walk to the ferry (5 mins away) and go to other spots down the coast. We would recommend Puerto de Morgan, Maspalomas & Arguineguin. The food at the hotel is delicious, breakfast including hot food and pastries, we went to the BBQ night on Friday which was really great buffet style with steak on the BBQ and a singer for entertainment, would recommend!

Bayview Suites was as it said, an adults only resort to relax…and the accommodation and pool area etc are all nice, albeit slightly basic! But clean and the kitchen area gives the flexibility to self-cater (which is needed as PR food is not beautiful tapas bars sadly!) Standard rooms all come with twin beds, which is not ideal when you’re on a romantic break!! The housekeeping staff were great to try and make the bed up as 1 bed, but apparently the double covers were only available in superior rooms? So ended up trapped between 2 beds every morning!! The hotel bar and cafe closes at 6pm and it’s a ghost town once the sun goes in, apart from Friday nights where they host a bbq! Staff are v friendly and hospitable and we were given Christmas and NY gifts which was a nice touch! Just to be aware…there are 143 steps to get from the hotel down to the marina for restaurants, bars and shops! And also - don’t have high expectations of food quality in the local area! (Hotel cafe did lovely lunchtime food - just a shame it closed so early!) But there is a good curry house just by the hotel (down the steps!!) Great for winter sun and to relax!

Stayed for a week in February 25. Generally the facilities and the hotel were pretty good. The steps etc are manageable but definitely stay clear of Puerto Rico if you don’t like hills. Stayed with friends in rooms D102/D103. Duplex style apartments with very steep steps to the bedroom and bathroom. Not as advertised or informed of this when booking. A real challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Also advertised as having a sea view…They do not! From the patio you have a lovely view of the rear wall of the villa in front of you! I’d say the rest of the apartments have a view so if booking I’d suggest you specifically request not to be in D102 or D103. We asked to be moved to an apartment with a view as booked but told no rooms available. Very disappointing as I’d specifically booked the hotel as EasyJet and hotel websites indicated all rooms have a sea view. Won’t be back.

Spent a nice week at the Marina Bayview. The staff were very friendly and generally the self-catering apartment was nice, clean and roomy. There are a lot of steps up to the apartments but I didnt find that a problem at all. The only issue I had was that the parasols beside the sun-loungers around the pool are bolted down so they can't be moved - so you sometimes have a choice between roasting in the sun or leaving.
