Hotel Riu Vistamar - All Inclusive

Très bon séjour dans l’hôtel RIU Vistamar Étant en famille et français la réception fut très bien à notre arrivée . La chambre est spacieuse et toujours très propre chaque jour . L’hôtel est très beau , la vue est incroyable à chaque coin de l’hôtel ce qui rend le séjour agréable . Les différentes piscines à différent étages sont agréables ainsi que les bars à disposition . L’ensemble du personnel animateur , services etc sont toujours souriants et à notre service . Concernant la restauration , il y a de tout pour tous les goûts . C’est très correct et surtout propre et variés . Beaucoup d’étrangers peu de français mais le personnel est tout de même opérationnel . Navette hôtel plage très pratique avec plage non privatisé pour l’hôtel ( 15 euros pour les transat et parasol ) sable fin et eau transparente et pas froide ce qui est très agréable surtout avec enfant en bas âge a cette période Excellent rapport qualité prix je recommande .

En general estuvimos cómodos,las habitaciones están bien ,las vistas son muy bonitas Estuvimos alojados en el piso n:4 los ascensores son lentos en horas puntas ,pero se entiende . En general el hotel dispone de todo lo necesario para pasar unos días agradables. Agradecimientos a la señoría jefe de sector Laura González por su atención . La única queja es el sobre el vino blanco,que servís por copas en los bares es,de muy baja calidad,deberías cambiarlo por favor . We have just returned from our third 2 week visit to the RIU Vistamar Hotel at Amadores Bay in Gran Canaria. Our last visit was in March 2023. I was extremely pleased to see after our last visit Laura had been promoted she well deserved that promotion. I have coeliac Disease & require a gluten free diet. When ever Laura was on duty again this year I had no problems what so ever. She had time to show me what I could have or have something made for me in the kitchen. She always remembered & when it was ready it would be brought to our table whilst it was still hot. I also noticed whenever Laura was there the restaurant ran a lot more efficiently she directs staff to get through . Other persons holding the same position when Laura wasn’t on duty ran round like headless chickens & didn’t really have time to do anything & a lot of the time I received cold food. At lunch time 4 or 5 days no one could speak English which was a problem. They now have electronic labels on the food WHICH CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. These signs are programmed from somewhere miles away. For instance Tuna Salad was labelled smoked salmon sandwich. This is an extremely dangerous practice with persons with serious allergies. Another area of complaint was that everything seems to be controlled from the RIU App.No paper work what so ever is available in the bedrooms or reception. Little things like how do you set the safe ? What time is checkout? Simple things but no information available on the App. Communication in now a problem if you email the address on the App for the hotel no one answers them this is at any time before you arrive or whilst in the hotel as a guest. In March in 2023 there were 2 lady managers who ran the hotel. You would see them walking round the hotel at times picking up & dealing with problems & speaking to guests so they where well aware of what was happening. I understand the management they have at present have been there for 6 months or so. In the 2 weeks we where present we never saw anyone speaking to guests, looking round the restaurant to make sure everything was up to standard. Walking around the bar etc. I would hope that on any future visits we happen to make common sense has returned to management team. It seems more important for the new team to look for future guests than to keep,help & encourage repeat visitors. In other words they have lost the plot. The Maitre d Salvador was off during our 2 weeks & now there doesn’t seem to be a restaurant manager. All the staff including cleaners & waiters etc are very good & appear friendly.

From entering the hotel to leaving it was a fantastic experience! The reception staff on arrival were so friendly, we were booked in quickly and had everything explained to us perfectly. I wish I could remember his name but unfortunately not. He was funny and understaod how we must have been feeling arriving late so ushered us off for food. Our room was on the 2nd floor and what a view!! We loved it and I must say when they said sea view they weren’t kidding, beautiful! I just wish we had been further round to see the sunsets we only got partial ones. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard and was much appreciated! The restaurants are great with plenty of choice. The staff worked so hard to keep the flow going. The pool areas are lovely with 3 choices of pool area. There are plenty of sunbeds and you can change the towels daily. The bars are well stocked with around 5 choices of cocktails with or without alcohol. There are coffee and pop machines and also beer on tap. One of the great things about this hotel is the free shuttle bus down to the beach, trust me it is a godsend, we still haven’t found the steps to the beach🙈🤪. I have to mention the staff, they are the most friendliest, helpful and knowledgable that Ive come across in all my travelling and deserve a wage increase. They are the backbone of the hotel and RIU should be very proud of them.

This hotel is great for younger kids. The 12th floor is dedicated to little ones with a no stress kids club with a great range of crafts, small park and splash park pool that isn’t overwhelming for young kids. The hotel itself is clean, rooms are great with everything you need and the beds are comfy. There’s a tv but we had so much fun we never turned it on. The free safe is a nice touch too. Never used the aircon but that’s also included. Food was good, and the restaurants were easy to navigate. The buffets were plenty and as a fussy eater, I certainly never went hungry and really enjoyed the food choices. The dairy free options were nice on a morning too. The main restaurant had beautiful views making the dining experience really special. There’s plenty of activities that aren’t OTT or in your face which is good - we joined in as and when and had a good time. The self service soft drinks were excellent with no real queue and most importantly they were clean. The kids disco was fab and the entertainer engaged with each child which was lovely. Reception we’re always polite and helpful as we’re all the staff setting a good standard of customer service. The courtesy room is clean and handy. The only thing that was a negative for our holiday was location of the hotel, a short walk outside of the hotel is the europa shopping centre and it’s rife with in your face touts which I personally dislike. It put me off the rest of the resort and luckily the hotel and all inclusive was so fantastic we didn’t need to leave for the rest of our stay. The Riu chain is definitely one of my new favourites after this stay. I would recommend to those with young children, who enjoy a really good all inclusive.

Stayed here for a week. This hotel has the most amazing views!! It's spotless. All staff are very friendly, the reception team are extremely helpful. The animation team work really hard, there is activities throughout the day and the evening. The hotel runs a bus service down to the beach, or a taxi cost about €5. Download the Riu app it really does help. You can't fault the restaurants and the choice of food. Always something different, and they work really hard to refill and clean. The swimming pools are lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds. No matter what time we got up there, we found some. No sunbed wars ! Lol. I have to say we were very weary about going after we read all the reviews about sickness bug. But we were fine and had a wonderful week! We did use our own hand sanitiser. The only negative is that the lifts get very busy at peak times and not very big - but that's being very picky! I would definitely recommend this hotel 100%.

Bedbank/sofa in de familiekamer zat niet goed; aparte stoel zou ook fijn zijn. Wandelen vanuit het hotel naar bv.het strand is minder handig, daar het hotel heel hoog op de berg ligt, steile klim.

Check in smooth information about lifts, rooms, etc given. Food lovely, rooms beautiful with amazing views over the beach, we were in room 281 which was good and not to far from the lifts, some guest's had issues waiting for lifts but we didnt but we did find them on the small side. Attended the white party at another hotel rui grand canaries beautiful looking hotel but very busy on the night long journey to attend but different. I would recommend this hotel but if you have mobility issues you would have to rely on the lifts lots of steps everywhere, great value for money and the staff were good. Big shout out to the tui rep matina i think her name is she helped my sister alot when her partner had to go into hospital went above and beyond so thankyou x
