The Fives Oceanfront

The staff is absolutely splendid, courtesy, helpful, and willing. The food, however tasteless and left us with much to be desired. The bar in the lobby has the best mixologist so far

Das Hotel befindet sich am Ende Puerto Morelos in einer ruhigen Sackgasse. Es ist neu und sehr gepflegt und der Stuff ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wir waren in einer ziemlich großen Suite mit einem schönen Seitenblick auf das karibische Meer untergebracht. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, es gab verschiedene Eierspeisen, einen Früchteteller sowie Toasts mit Marmelade und Honig. Es ist natürlich kein und 4 Sterne Frühstück, sowas braucht man meines Erachtens aber auch nicht wirklich. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Meer, man kann ohne Aufpreis liegen und einen sonnenschirm nutzen. Wenn man möchte, serviert der Kellner einem kalte Drinks direkt an die Liege. Die Preise im Restaurant sind für mexikanische Verhältnisse relativ hochpreisig, dafür war das Abendessen unfassbar lecker. Es gibt sogar einen Doktor, der einem einen Antigen Test abnimmt, sehr nützlich für die weite Reise in die USA. Unser Fazit: wir kommen gerne wieder, es lohnt sich.

We had a superb 7 nights at the Fives oceanfront in October 2024. We stayed on an all inclusive basis. The staff are very hardworking. I'm not going to name any because it wouldn't be fair. From restaurant to the bars and also the cleaners and reception staff. There was always someone making sure that you were ok and had everything you needed. The food was delicious. Every meal which is ordered from a menu and then cooked was top class. Unfortunately the roof restaurant was closed due to storm damage but they were fixing it all up quickly. The rooms are big. two sets of doors open onto a large balcony. They are clean and the mini bar always stocked with beers, soft drinks and water. There are plenty of sunbeds. We were on the beach most days and you can have sun or shade depending on what you like. We had the threat of some bad weather when hurricane Milton was around but the staff were again informative and worked hard clearing the beach so the storm passed without any further damage. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing time in a small hotel in which you will be very well looked after.

The location was great and I was very impressed, but after check-out, because I had to wait 3 hours until the time I was supposed to be picked up to the airport, I left my luggage with the hotel security guards. They put everything in a room promising it would be under surveillance and I was waiting on the floor. Someone from the hotel staff stole the 600€ from my backpack. They promised they would check the surveillance cameras and I would be notified as soon as possible

Sehr sauberes und modernes Hotel. Die Angestelle sind alle sehr nett, zuvorkommend und herzlich. Der Servive ist super und alles war perfekt. Das Hotel bietet einen Privatstrand und dieser ist sehr gepflegt. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist gross und vielfältig.

My wife and I had an amazing anniversary getaway at the Fives Oceanfront.The service at the hotel was top notch.Unfortunately it was hurricane season and the beach was nothing special because it was filled with seaweed even though the staff tried best daily to have the area in front of the Hotel was clean.I wanted to give a special mention to PANTOJA- ROMARLEY BAR who is a excellent bartender and I also wanted to thank Roberto my server from Al Mare Restaurant.I think this review is a little late but as I was so impressed I am Deciding to go back.The Ro Marley Beach house was a great option for food and the rooftop bar with its infinity pool over looking the Ocean.I do recall getting a airport transfer to the hotel for just $50USD but as I am going back in a few days I was informed that the price was almost double hence I think I am being cheated out of my money.I clearly remember paying $50 so I don’t know how in such a short time the price increased.

This was my third trip to the Fives Oceanfront in 1.5 years. I have chosen this resort over many other resorts because it's a quieter more intimate boutique resort with an all inclusive option. The food is GOOD! This isn't your normal AI fare, it's cooked to order. There are no buffets. There is not much in the way of entertainment which is fine by me. It's relaxing. I will admit my trip started off pretty rocky this time. My beloved rooftop adults only pool was closed my entire trip and the room I was given was not acceptable for a number of reasons. They did recognize that it was my birthday with a desert and a bed decoration. That was very nice. Sidenote: I am not good with names. I never remember people's names or I would include them. My second day they moved me to an amazing oceanfront room. It was fabulous! They treated me very well. I am now very happy to say I will definitely return for my 4th visit in the near future. Thanks to all the employees at the resort! Note: Hurricane Helene had just hit earlier in the week, the resort fared ok, but there was some damage and leaking in various places. They were addressing the issues.

I booked The Fives Oceanfront's all inclusive package and wish I had more time there. We went during hurricane season and were not expecting the hotel to get boarded up! Despite the horrible weather, the hotel made the most of it by offering us games to play and alternative food options. There is primarily one restaurant at the hotel which you normally go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner except for select days of the week. There would be long wait times at the restaurant but the dinner was always really good. The pool and beach club are on the smaller side but it makes for a more intimate experience in Mexico. Other than the village, which is about a 20-minute walk, there isn't much to do in Puerto Morelos unless you were to take a 25-minute taxi ride to Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

We could not fault the position of the hotel or the facilities but the service in the restaurant bar and Italian restaurant was absolutely horrendous. No one seem to know what they were doing. It almost 30 minutes before anyone came us. We were on bed and breakfast and one morning we were told we had to pay the next morning we were told we had to sign the next morning we didn’t have to sign anything, they just did not seem to know what they were doing
