Villas Salinas de Matagorda

Second year staying here and hope to be back next year! We stayed in a 3 bed villa. The accommodation was clean, spacious, comfortable and felt like a home away from home quite quickly. Pool was clean as always and was cleaned during our stay. The area is nice and quiet which is perfect for us. We always tend to rent a car and explore Lanzarote so I can’t really say what local public transport is like other than there is a bus stop close by the roundabout at the entrance to the villas and there always seems to be plenty of taxis around if you want to go into Puerto del Carmen. Carolina, who runs/organises the accommodation is brilliant and a pleasure to deal with. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. John. Ireland

We had a wonderful 3bed villa. Great location within minutes of the beach and shops & restaurants. Taxis within a few minutes walk as well. Couldn’t fault the Villa there is everything you need there. Pools are quite small but ideal for my family of 4, villas are all alarmed and all have parking if needed. Definitely stay again the position is fantastic and Christina at reception was extremely helpful even arranging a taxi for us to get back to the airport.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at villas salinas. The villas itself was spotless and well set out with the most comfortable beds ever! Not the usual hard holiday beds. We paid extra to heat the pool as we had young children. The villas is a few minutes walk from the beach and shops. Turn left and you go to the little shopping centre at matagorda or right at the beach for the beach front restaurants and to head to carmen centre. We like horreo! You can walk to carmen centre in around 25 minutes along the front. We hired bikes and cycled right into carmen, we also went to the mini golf and the arcade. We were very lucky with the weather and sun daily after chillier mornings. Carolina at reception is extremely helpful and sent us all the check in info before we arrived with clear maps of where we were. My parents came with us and had a two bed villa for themselves which was ideal as they weren’t woken early by our children :) can’t recommend enough but also don’t want to as don’t want it fully booked! The villa has a washing machine dishwasher and bbq as well. One tip to bring non slip pool shoes as can be slippy around the pool

From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carolina was very helpful from the beginning. The keys are left in a key box with the details emailed so even though we were running a little late we were settled into the villa in no time. We had a two bedroom villa. A master ensuite bedroom with a double bed and twin single beds in the second, there is loads of wardrobe space. The beds are on the firm side which were perfectly fine. The kitchen came with everything you'd expect with 4 of everything, cups, glasses, plates etc., You'll need to bring your own toiletries and shop for basic food items. The villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was cleaned twice during our 10 day stay. We asked for extra towels which were provided straight away. The pool was small but still comfortable, we asked for the pool to be heated which made getting in a pleasure even in February. There is also a BBQ however we didn't use it during our stay. The villa is centrally located in Matagorda with all the amenities within 5 minutes walk of the villa. You are also just a short taxi ride from the old town or if you wish you could stroll into the old town in about an hour. The airport is a 10 minute taxi ride away and you can hear the planes takeoff and land,I have to say that this didn't bother use at all and certainly didn't disturb our sleep. They say it's all about location and if that's true then this place has it in spades! All COVID measures were adhered to when dealing with staff and the same can be said for any shop or restaurant we visited. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday and I can't recommend Villas Salinas highly enough.
